for me it seems like they start droping more often when youre closing in on para 700. but thats prob just because after 600 you need to play more for the lvls. para 600 takes like 3 days if you got a good group to play with.
im 789 at the moment in season, gotten 10+ and i have 65 in non season.
I still think it's total RNG. I got my first Gift this season around the 120p mark.
I have two full NS tabs full of mats. I can't wait until I get that cleaned up, then get another 2 tabs from the Necro. Might have enough space to actually house all the sets at that point.
We all know Blizzard drops the ban hammer during Seasons for players who cheat with bots and TurboHUD.
But when will Blizzard start banning botters in Non Season? I know a lot of players who constantly bot. Some even send me the link to demonbuddy website! I know a few players now botting in season8! They told me the trick is to not get into the top 100 to stay under the radar.
The true form of competition in the game (at the moment) is seasons. However, some of the new game modes will change that and negate the concerns about people having NS botting advantages from things like paragon.
Ultimately, Blizzard has a company core value of playing fair on those folks will get dealt with in some form when the time is right.
I agree with all the points you touch in here.
What I am afraid, as previously stated, is that supporting this kind of content has the opposite effect to what we fans would like.
If we pay for the Necro DLC, that means we like that sort of product-business model.
But, what about the share of the playerbase that wants a different type of product? Let's call it a real expansion, with an adequate price and new content ? Should we support the dev team when we don't like the approach Blizz is taking? That's a hard call.
That's a gamble there. It could be that they are using the Necro player pack as a test to see what the true buying interest within Diablo is at the moment. If it sells well, then they may drive forward with creating an expansion, updating the engine, etc. Not buying the pack could result in a deeper shift towards focusing on IPs that are bringing in revenue.
However, it could also be that buying the pack will confirm to Blizzard that patch DLCs instead of expansions are the way to go. In my opinion, if the content gets released in 8 $5 packs over time or 1 $40 pack, it makes no difference to me.
I think it could also be beneficial to make a change that would apply to group bounties. This change would be that you no longer turn in bounties for a specific act but have to complete all bounties on each act before you can turn it in. Then you just get 1 loot box with all the act's mats and items instead of 5. This would prevent people from cherry picking bounties in acts and stop people from turning in stuff when it isn't on the bonus act.
Solo players could then keep focusing on act specific bounties. If they don't turn in the bounty when it is on the bonus act, then it really hurts no one but themselves.
Cursed Peat, use cindercoat in cube and could even use reapers wraps if you need more hatred (you will get a few health globes during) and use zodiac in cube if you have any problems maintaining vengeance. Also look at your passives and lose any of them that you don't need (e.g. you don't want to slow them so lose thrill for something that helps out more with hatred/dps). Otherwise just grab another DH and smash it.
Cursed Peat in A5, Cursed Bailey A3 (secheron ruins), and Cursed Bellows in HOA3 A1 are all pretty easy- best is of course the Cursed Peat.
Good luck.
Oh and you can join one of the conquest communities and ask for help or look out for someone doing Curses. All that is overkill but will get it done. GL.
Thanks for telling me about the HOA3 A1 chest. I found it and took a crack at it with totally unoptimized set (my gem leveling setup) and got a 308 kill. Going back tonight with the right gear to make this happen. Thanks!
So, last season I got addicted to the UE set and played DH until I got my tab. (Then Overwatch happened, so...yeah...)
Anyway, I decided to rebirth my character and do it again for this season. However, I am having a hell of a time getting conquest completed. I know that I will eventually get to GRift 75 solo, so I'm not worried there. For the life of me, I cannot get enough kills on the cursed chest event. I'm averaging around 210 but that is where I stop every time. Doing it on Act V and Act IV chests.
I agree 100% with this recommendation. I normally end up playing at weird hours where there aren't that many people online within the clan and I don't like playing public games on bounties because some idiot normally turns in the act without checking if it's the bonus act. This would make my quality of life a better without taking away the benefits of group play.
Most D3 players don't have overhyped expectations over the game. It's been slowly crawling into maintenance mode, and the announcement of Diablo 4 would only kill it further. On top of that, a D3 expansion would still be years away if announced, and I don't think people can last that long here if what you said about Twitch viewership means anything.
Diablo 1 revamp hits this year, Necro next year. Even if you aren't gonna play the new hero, it's going to revitalize the community without a stupidly long wait.
If they can release 2-3 new classes a year i would be a happy bunny.
At the end of the day it would all boil down to price, i am happy to support them as long as they don't take the piss, if i see the necro priced at £29.99 then i am out. 15-20 is what i would find reasonable.
10 for a new class. 15 pushes it but 20 is out of the question.
I was thinking 5-10. $5 if just the character/class, $10 if it included much more (a few zones, game mechanic, etc.).
You're 100% correct. Anyone who is jumping to conclusions about the upcoming content is purely focusing on their gut reactions and not thinking about all the other information that we have yet to receive.
Don't say the patient is dead if you haven't checked for a pulse. (Regardless, the Necro would just rez them now, so....)
Is it on the PTR? If so, it could be a bug.
They are still dropping. I got two last night and about 10 this whole season. Have about 30 in NS.

Anyone have tips for getting that done?

As a side note, does anyone else think the Necro looks like Iggy Pop?
