This is the build I use, except I use tap the source. one suggestion I have is to use wave of force instead of sparkflint. the knockback is amazing amd it hits like a truck with this build and gear!
Edit: And I use a 0,9 speed 1400 dps 2 hander with a socket. one shotting mobs in whimsyshire inferno is awesome! It feels like revenge for all the one shotting you have recieved;)
I'm Level 50 and Frost Hydra is one of my best skills. It does a lot of damage and it slows. Really nice.
I've found slowing to be really good at later difficulties, when it starts to get harder!
Also, on some of the harder bosses you might use different skills than for regular mobs.. (hydra is good on bosses)
Though that might change a bit when we get the nephalem buff..
And the fact that you can fire and forget a hydra for low cost, while you use your regular skills, make it quite a nice DPS increase.
Put it inside rooms and run out if stuff is hard:)
Same for blizzard actually which I think is a really awesome skill.
This is my build. It focuses on 2 major skills, one aoe and one single target, with some one major cooldown damage skills.
Rather than have lots of skills, I've focused on increasing damage on a few select ones, and even the defensive slow time increases attack speed.
The defensive cooldowns are mirror image and teleport, also making images, and if you are hit hard, it resets cooldown on both, allowing you to have many copies of yourself as decoys, and getting out of danger quick.
I am curious about archon, but I'd have to see what it actually does first, and what the skills gained are:)
Randomized stats is one of the best parts of Diablo imo! It makes for so many interesting gearing choices. It will be a nice change from playing WoW for a while, where everything is fixed and item stats are boring.
The more randomization and cool/weird stats, the better. If people want to make builds with damage reflection, or other weird things, they should be able to:)
I am also curious how random the unique items will be. Will it be like 1-500 or just 450-500, kinda like Diablo 2. Could you get an awesome and a sucky version of the same unique?
It's kinda hard to plan when we don't know gear levels, or how hard inferno really is. I am curious about archon for example, just have to wait and see how good it is, and how well it works in inferno. Also how much resources we have (depends on gear etc) and how much we need regen skills etc. If getting hit in melee is avoidable, or something that you should expect also affects the builds and what runes you choose etc. It's even harder to make a build since I haven't even played beta:)
I also have a suggestions what NOT to do, but I guess it counts as well:) But a proper suggestion in there as well;)
Don't make pvp give any pve rewards. They should be 100% seperate things.
I understand people want to do pvp, but me, and I know I'm not alone, prefer pve only, and don't want to feel forced to pvp for rewards etc.
I also hope very strongly to see a better trading system than Diablo 2, but this has already been mentioned alot. However, I'd still like some flexibility in this, so you can still get "bargains" and get richer by being good at trading, since it was something alot of Diablo 2 players enjoyed (including me).
I also have a specific fun idea about trading. How about making an ingame trading location, where people could meet and trade? Maybe with NPCs where you could "leave" your items up for trade for others to look at and purchace at the price you've set.
I wouldn't mind gold becoming more usefull, but don't forget to give people total freedom in what they want to trade for. If they want to trade a specific item for another item, or 200 gems, or a rune, then let them! If the system is too restricted or limited, not many will use it and we're back to regular trade channels. (I'd still like to see trade channels ingame, just less spammy than Diablo 2.

Int gives you a boost of your BASE weapon dmg, while attack speed and crit etc boosts all your dmg.
So int gives you less when you have a lot of it compared to crit, attack speed etc...

While you run around trying to avoid crap, it will do some dps for you.
