Almost every change IMO is amazing. A few nerf's I deem unnecessary. But all in all about 80% of these changes are going to be wonderful. HOW CAN YOU BE UPSET with the WW changes. HAH, who wants to use ww as their main skill 100% of the time. That's boring. Earthquake is now more awesome, ww now sucks people in, same with furious charge. CHARGE IN, WW, EARTHQUAKE..maybe a rend/slam. COME ON...epic beyond proportions. The barb will 2x more powerful. The wd/wizard are still op. The glass cannon aka DH finally got more survivability, and the monk got a handful of damage increases and better aura/passive effects. If all these changes make it to the expansion I'll be ecstatic.
Hell yes. I fucking love video games. Even though I don't still play I still put 150 hrs on my barb and 120 plus on my wiz/wd combined. Can't wait to get back out there and play again. This is the diablo 3 I was waiting for. Seems like everyone has forgotten how GROUNDBREAKING the LOD expansion was to D2. The diablo population almost doubled it seemed when I was playing D2 before LOD came out
Well, I don't sign in here too often so i just now read almost all the replies. I think an expansion would breathe life into the game again. Socket quest/res quest/2 new chars. That's what I wan't. I would also like them to make ponies worth a F again. Anyone remember how often those clouds dropped rares before the chest nerf!!!!? Someone replied that there is no build diversity...I can solo mp 7, full party mp 5-6 with my FRENZY barbarian. I have a comet wizard and a zombie charger Witch doctor and I've managed to make them all work. I like to be unique and I don't run into many people with builds like mine at all.
I am really enjoying the changes they made to Diablo 3. Much better build diversity now and the new legendary weapons are awesome. Just waiting for them to finish the TDM PVP and expansion for some extra end game on top of paragon levels. Two new classes would be exciting. Maybe we all gave up on it to soon. I know I put 300 hours into it and then hit a brick wall in inferno act 2 and I REFUSED to use some standardized, boring build to survive. I really hope the Diablo community reunites. I know I've seen more of my friends on it as of late. I hope that trend continues and I hope at least one person reading this decides to log in and tinker with their builds or create a new character. Trust me it's much better now. You know, D2 didn't really reach it's full potential until it's expansion.
Now this is what I'm talking about. I just hope from now until the time of the release people have not already found the combinations everyone will using...
First of all everyone is acting as if once you die and your sent back to the waypoint it takes 20 mintues for you to load and your group will be miles ahead and maybe in act 32 while your still waiting to respawn. Come on now lol. I'm sure its a like a 5 second respawn time. Can anyone tell me of any area in diablo 2 where there were no new locations or levels in an area? None. I'm willing to guess there will be mass checkpoints all through out the game. I like this new system already. You die, you suffer the consequences! Respawning with a piddly amount of health and slowly reginerating back to max sounds good to me. PLUS. If your playing with friends..how many times did you die and your friends said fuck you im going on ahead? lol come on. A simple yo, I died hold up, and im sure your friends will either hold there ground or venture back a ways to make sure the areas clear. CHill out lol. If your in a party who would go leaps and bounds ahead of you when you die in the first place. Your in the wrong party
I've got a group of friends who are all gonna gang rape wal-mart at midnight on the release day lol. I'm glad theres about 8 in my town alone within 10minutes of each other. Wal-mart heaven down here
I'm just glad the first topic I've ever posted got 10 pages of reply's lol.
I would much rather buy from a site with non poofing items. I played diablo 2 when it first came out all the way up until 1.0 which at that time I broke my discs because other wise I would have never stopped playing. A year or so later I started playing again and i'll admit I had a descent job at the time and 2-3$ for a couple of runewords that I previously was not accustom to was a pretty good deal in my eyes. I would have been out of the loop and it would have taken a couple of months for me to get back into the game lol. Yes I bought some stuff. So sue me.
lol. I'm pretty damn sure someone, somewhere will find a way to create a map hack. I enjoyed it when it came out until it got to good. Being able to dodge incomming amazon missles..come on..thats a bit much. BUT I had already beat the game numerous amount of times before they mousepad introduced his map hack so for me it did'nt really take away from anything. It let me know where the cow king was to avoid him and helped people rush me 3x faster AND people really didn't charge for rushes when they knew exactly where to go
The one answer that solves all the questions asked is just make the random quests worth it. Cpl skill points as a reward or even a side quest that takes you into a dungeon where you fight a mini boss etc. I think the random side quests is a wonderful idea. You could be telling your friends. Hey bro I just did this random quest in act 1 near (fillin the blank's) waypoint and I got this cool sword/fought a cool mini boss that gave loads of experience. Your buddie would be jealous and he may never get the same side quest as you in his whole experience with diablo 3 lol. Wouldn't that be cool? Enough randomized quests to guarantee some things would be unique. Only 1/8 of the D3 community ever getting the same quest as you. Pretty awesome I say, what a way to make your friend jealous. I did happen to get off topic though, sorry lol. No, I'm not worried about people bypassing them because the only reason we bypassed so many of them in diablo 2 is because we had all done them 150x over. We got so caught up in...dude lets lvl to 80, buy stuff. make the perfect character and pvp, do runs etc. Regretably Diablo 3 will be just the same after a couple of years but for the first year or two when people are actually enthralled by the story line and not being rushed through the entire game in 15minutes. I think it will add hours of fun, randomization and monopolization lol.
I read a few more posts and I agree also. As you move up in difficulties there should be new challenges/harder mini bosses and quests etc. Maybe even more lore and extend the process of completing that difficulty. HELL maybe even a whole new act...
