Hi Guys! Many of you may remember me from early Diablo 3 and my Witch doctor videos, I returned for ROS and picked up the crusader, loving it! with 2.05 many of the crusaders builds changed and below is a number of videos looking at some of the more popular builds in 2.05, Everything is filmed in T4 bounties for variety and consistency, Hope you enjoy them.
You don't really need to change that much in order to get the 100% uptime on NG-orbs. I ran with ONLY the Law of Valor - Answered Prayers as my provider (Without any of the passives) and I had about 90% uptime. It took some getting used to in order to learn when to use it, but once you got that figured out it was really sweet. The 3 stacks do pack a rather nice punch aswell so I think it's a great idea.
If you find out that you have troubles with the uptime you can change one passive to Nephalem Mastery and you should be golden.
Pretty much this, with Law of Valor - Answered Prayersyou don't need to use the passive or any other items to maintain high up time on NG solo. Group play you will have 100% up time.
From a crusader POV we have very little variation in element type. The Majority of our skills have 0 or 1 variant, which is nice if you only want to stack one element type but doesn't lead to much variety. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do
The effect of Blade of Prophecy is incredible, seriously. For starters, it straight up doubles condemn's damage single target. And in a pack? Picture 4 mobs all hitting each other with condemn, after you hit them with condemn. Quintuple damage. It doesn't also trigger condemn's rune, but rather the explosion just goes off instantly on the mob as well.
Golden Flens can be brutal as well, allowing you to basically spam Sweep if a pack of mobs is large enough. Couple it with a Cindercoat and you might not need to hit your generator on large packs at all. And doubling bombardment impacts... well, so many strong Crusader builds use bombardment, why wouldn't you consider that?
It's not that I haven't considered it, the opposite actually, I've used all the weapons at varies times and the builds that surround them. Maximus is fun to a point for sure but I kinda feel like I'm playing position the chain more than killing stuff. Prophecy is the weapon I've used the most and it truly is incredible and condemn was part of my build before I got prophecy. I guess the point I'm trying to get at is - Do you pick a weapon that affects one ability (all be it massively) or a weapon that affects all abilities
So i just picked up a "The Zweihander" with much higher Damage than anything else I have, as you can see I have a few ok weapons. Am I right in thinking the Zweihander is the better option as I Don't need to build around it and it affects all skills not just one?
Wait im missing something, did they nerf the chest drop rate or just remove that chest? Because I have another area that I like to farm chests from that has basically no monsters and has 2-3 chests for a run that takes seconds. Before people start saying I should farm rifts I will answer that I do farm rifts with my barb/monk but I have never been good at surviving with most ranged char (im good with wd but thats it). The wiz isnt horrible now that he has those abilities to give shield and can tank better but the dh is just not good for me (she seems to die in seconds when playing solo).
The number of chests that spawn in the following zones has been reduced:*
Core of Arreat
Briarthorn Cemetary
Battlefields of Eternity
Crag of Eternity
Demonic Vessels were using the incorrect loot table, and now give less generous loot.*
I also have a comparable Mortal Damage (double bombardment) But I find condemn especially with the vacuum rune a good compromise between damage and utility when compared with Heaven's Fury and Bombardment.
I dont want to steal your thread but I did put up a shield bash based build video a couple of days ago you can check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4EKdBrBkh8
Since the video my gear has improved alot and am currently in t2/3 (haven't tried t4) with a couple of changes to the build to give me more damage.
Im trying this myself on hardcore there is a post floating around or head over to my youtube channel for my latest video. Its fun but pretty hard and I'm only lvl 15!(barbarian)
I started playing Hardcore MP10 3 weeks ago as a Tank Wizard, got to level 41 and died from the first Elite Pack in Act 1 Nightmare as soon as I got to it.. lol
When my Wizard died I logged onto my Hardcore Witchdoctor to try progressing but died from the first Elite Pack in Act 2 Nightmare.
Normal MP10 is pretty easy, but Nightmare MP10 is hard shit I tell ya!
And oh, I did no auction housing either
Level 40 @ the end of Normal? Did you re-run areas or was that just following the story? Its funny some people said I wouldn't make it past SK untweaked and your saying its easy.
