I honestly don't see how anyone could progress further than act 1 considering there is basically a 65% armor/resist cap and even when you reach cap mobs will two shot you. :| Stack bunch of vit I guess.
Umm so how does my Barb have 75% DR from armor then?
I said basically... past 65% it gets super diminished. >_>

Hey, OP, how could you pass through barricades or whatever with only hydra spell?
Only way I see is spam hydra till out of AP and attack it with weapon or so
Yeah that's basically what I do. I spam magic weapon four times and then left click.
Does anyone else think it is a god dam huge failing for a character class to need 4 purely defensive skills, one ambiguous skill in magic weapon which apparently no wiz plays without, and only one offensive skill. Eventually someone is going to post an Inferno wizard with no way to deal DPS and everyone will be like omg that is so cool I can just run to the end of the dungeon without dying.
You don't need four defensive skills to beat inferno. I play hardcore so I do need all four defensive skills. I just adjusted my tittle to direct it to the correct audience, thanks for pointing that out.
yes he is playing hc, so its prolly not good to bet on taking big blows so the cooldowns reset, but in softcore its a good skill. Also do you know how to reset the skills of the follower, I kinda wanted to test them all, and was wondering what kind of gear do you put on her??
You reset their skills by right clicking on their picture and selecting reset (not obvious, it took me a while to find it). I put the best gear I can find on her, but I don't just stack pure int because she will die really quick. Vit and resist scale well on followers so if you can find gear that does massive amounts of int and a little bit of vit/resist that would be your best choice.
Hang on you don't have illusionist so how do you use teleport aggressively to maintain mirror image uptime?
This is a good point, but I think he means you use teleport:fracture to close the gap for when your normal images die. With that said I think you'd be far better off going with illusionist so then you really can just spam mirror image for 100% uptime with just getting hit here or there, then you can get rid of teleport and bring an actual damage skill.
Yup, use your teleport when your images die to keep the mobs in position. I tired Illusionist but didn't find it procing enough for me to make it a viable choice (I have mountains of armor and resist). If you're playing softcore you can get away with less armor and resist which would make the skill worth it.
Strengths: Very defensive, great against most elite packs (including fast), and narrow alleys.
Weaknesses: Mortar, extra health, and doors you have to attack down.
How it works:
Venom Hydra + Enchantress will do all your damage. Mirror images will soak up incoming damage and keep the enemy in place.
This is not your traditional kiting build.
You usually end up standing within 10 feet of your enemy so your images will get into combat and keep them busy for your hydra to burn them down. You can have 100% up time on mirror images if you use teleport aggressively (which I find myself doing often).

Background: I currently play a level 60 hardcore Wizard and I just defeated the Skeleton king on Inferno. Came up with this build last night and have been enjoying it more than Blizz + Hydra since this build is more defensive and provides an answer for "fast" enchanted mobs.
1) Hydra can be cast through a lot of doors where you have to click open or attack down.
2) You should try and never pick up a health globe when you're at full health.
3) There are special places that you can teleport up or down levels depending on the dungeon design.
4) Take advantage of your followers.
5) Turn your quick join function off so your friends don't hop into your game during a boss encounter and make you lose your follower.
I don't like it. Avatars too small, GIFs don't animate, TOO MUCH LIKE MMO-CHAMPION. I knew this was going to happen the second Boub took over. The only real reason Curse took over this website is because Blizzard cut a deal with the previous admin for exclusive Diablo 3 content since he willingly gave the Diablo3.com domain name to them.

That's awesome, I hadn't seen that post before. Thank you!

Here were roughly my stats self buffed:
>420+ all resist.
68% armor damage reduce
10k damage
47k life.

Follower: http://us.battle.net...follower#!!1010 (I use the enchantress because she doesn't die as often, but the scoundrel is viable too. The follower is a big chunk of your damage so I wouldn't choose the templar).

You're limited on two tickets, but yes each ticket does give you a higher chance of winning.
