Playing mostly Wizard, Hardcore only and self found only. May switch to other classes sometime, or when RoS comes out may try out Crusader to see if it fits. Will be streaming a lot, probably about 10-12 hours a day.
Also seems to be if you have a 2hander you might not ever get hit by that sparkflint inner CD... because of those last couple seconds in the video, you see him barely stutter a bit between casts and the familiar matches both of his last casts with a bolt... cool stuff it might be just a 1 sec cd or something of the sort.
Decent build i suppose, though only 1 defensive spell and your cold theme i personally wouldnt go with archon with this type of setup, id probably throw in 1 more defensive spell, diamond skin or teleport perhaps, but i think ray of frost + blizzard is a solid combo.
Personally just cant see myself ever using slow time or magic missle (or any of its runes) and thats about it for me. everything else has potential imo.
love this build one of the best ive seen - just ignore the idiots saying there will be immunes - do you think forked lightning procs will be able to hit the main target? if its not given the same treatment as shock pulse this might be the best boss / single target signature.(potentially atleast)
And i personally am a big hydra fan and love the non reliance on ap will come handy with gearing options. One change i know i would make though would be to switch out the familiar for magic weapon electrify,... as its been seen in a video it doesnt look like it will fire more than every other time you do, and having the extra proc chance for a bit more aoe / lightning procs with magic weapon and the raw dmg increase would seem a good option, but who knows it would take some experimenting to see if it works or not.
This shouldn't be an issue. Dunno how many of you played other blizz games like sc2 or WoW, but 'OP' classes will rotate through patches. There will be nerfs and buffs, cause it's near impossible to balnce huge games. Hardcore players will just roll current-best toons. Casuals simply don't care.
Uh... you couldnt be more wrong, hardcore dont ever roll current best, as they know there is no current best, its all about in the hands of the player, as everything is quite balanced number wise. If you are a hardcore / serious gamer you make what you enjoy work always no matter what. Casuals on the other hand ask people whats the best, then pick it. (then QQ when it sucks etc)
wizard was the best class power wise for me when playing the beta, one full thorough playthrough and by the time i get to the skeleton king being lvl 10, i had around 32dps and all of there spells felt powerful and had there own niche, i enjoyed some more than others, but i personally enjoyed shockpulse, rune or not runed the entire way through, i love how it instantly deals its damage without much travel time as apposed to the arcane spells, and the fact that it has multiple arcs, i felt i didnt ever have to worry about single target, even in the skeleton kings case, as long as i can quickly dispatch of all aoe packs, my diamond skin / frost nova giving me insane survivablity if used properly have basically 0 time to even damage me outside of just those 2 cds, yea Wizard felt awesome with just your standard no twinking use what you kill playthrough
All builds should have at the minimum:
1 Hatred Generator
1 Hatred Spender
1 Discipline escape mechanism
have atleast one good single target and one aoe option.
Just my opinion but that is what i would start with, so for me lets say
1, Hungering arrow (generator good single target)
2. Elemental arrow (Spender Good aoe)
3. Vault (Defensive)
Bam, then you could do what, throw in another spender of a different sort that fits, i personally am mostly going to roll with 1 spender, 1 generator, and 4 CD's 1 atleast being defensive, and possibly the rest just being burn spells on demand for scary situations.
