i can easily see them adding something like Alterac Valley to diablo 3. its the first thing i thought of when they said they wanted to add pve aspects to pvp. i dont know if it would be a good thing to add but its something.
A D3 version of AV would be awesome! Though I couldn't see it being more than 5 v 5 unless they figured out a way to effectively spread people out in a single instance... But that won't happen, people will zerg
Hmm.. Wonder what that development time is going into? expansion or PvP. God I really hope it's PvP I've been looking for a reason to come back to this game other than Paragon Levels and the endless loot horde.
My lady uses my phone as an alarm for work in the morning, seen I had a couple messages so she checked and it was Bashiok's twitter saying May 15th, so she excitedly hands me the phone and I was wide awake about 15 minutes after the announcement despite only 2 hours sleep and not having to work today >.<
Umm? What? Besides the fact Monks are the most mobile class in the game as far as I can defer from our skills and passives we do have generators that are meant to close the distance, such as...
Beacon of Ytar has returned! Reduce's cooldowns by 15%, not really huge but i'm sure it can be worked into some builds as a necessity. Mostly see it being useful for the support type monks so they can spam heals and such more often

Every skill there, though some aren't generators they are all used to close the gap or keep the gap from ever manifesting
Other than that a bunch of skills and rune effects have been shuffled around for all classes
