Excellent changes . No more placing sentries and running around like a headless chicken. Hope they can work out the numbers though and keep M6 competitive.
You don't really get an unfair advantage aside from time played. I doubt a bot is smart enough to clear leaderboard topping grifts. Hearthstone is a very competitive game. Any unfair advantage should be bannable as it effects everyone playing, botting in D3 doesn't really affect anyone other than the botter.
Where do you get this "doesn't affect anyone" thing? I really don't get it. I myself like to compete on the leaderboards. My playtime is limited nowadays but still doing pretty good by my standards by having 2 characters in top 100.
A botter compared to someone like me has the following advantages :
- Unlimited trial rift keystones . While i have to spend 1-1,5 hour to collect 15 of them. Those things run out easily if you're trying to get a good map at 40+ and you don't have a lot of time to farm regular rifts.
- Much better chance at getting good loot since he's on 24/7. Still no Furnace on my Crusader. I bet a bot could have found me one!
You already get lightning from the proc of thunderfury and imho can't see why someone wouldnt use exposure for a 10-20% always on , group wide damage buff.
Dridgen , you're forgetting about that extra 5% dmg from elemental exposure (for the whole party), if you reroll the thunderfury to cold. That's the whole point.
When you have 6/6 Akhan pieces (or 5/6 + RORG) you can swap out iron skin for another skill just like you said, since you'll have close to 100% uptime on Akarat's champion Prophet rune anyway. I'd recommend Condemn with Vacuum rune. Just pop it and most enemies will be pulled on top you which will make the 3 heavens fury beams stack on top of each other , dealing massive damage. You can also combine this skill with Strongarm bracers for an additional boost. Works great.
Although most people will tell you otherwise, i personally dislike the aoe portion of the fires of heaven rune (the 40 wrath one) , although i have to admit its great for single target . I prefer the ascendancy rune for heaven's fury and since you already have the shield it's great having 100% uptime (with proper cdr) on the beams. When the beams converge they melt stuff pretty fast even on T6. You can use condemn with vacuum to pull enemies on top of you and the beams will merge.
"Enemies you hit become Marked for Death" . So basically its a flat 20% damage boost to everyone in your group, right?
I found one today and although it hasnt rolled a socket yet despite me spending all of my forgotten souls on it , the proc is just too good to pass up.I've tested it and it stays always on as long as you keep hitting your enemies once in a while.
I have to say , i hated trading back in the Diablo 2. Sitting in a chat room or browsing a forum for hours trying to trade my items was not fun at all for me. It was something that you had to do though , if you wanted to stay competitive. I don't know if there's any people out there that felt the same way about trading in D2.
I was really excited before D3's release when they announced the AH (the gold one , not the RMAH) . It was a place where i could quickly trade my valuables without spending countless hours like before . That is until i guess we all realised that it was just too convenient and it devalued the actual playing of the game which really sucked.
I'm not sure if removing the AH was the best solution to this problem (sure glad to see the RMAH gone though) , maybe there could exist a more middle-ground solution, but since that's final now , i'am happy about the BoA legendaries. I would hate to go back to trading in D2 style.
Another consequence of having BoAs is no more pay to win in this game. Which can only be a good thing.
So i guess i could say that i do like the idea of BoA legendaries.
Agreed . HC is the only way to play this game at the moment.
Dont get me wrong , I really like D3 and i'm sure it will be great in the future. Played for 7 months straight upon release then on and off till now.
But at the moment i really cant find the motivation to play softcore , i feel like i'm wasting my time.
Loot 2.0 cant come any sooner.

Stop making a fool out of yourself by claiming Kridershot is BIS (!) and keep it in your stash until 2.1.

Next step would be to add some competition to the game. To put all those self-found items to good use, Lets hope thats coming with the ladders.
