Well if that's the case then I guess they'll be getting brimstoned. No huge loss really considering a lot of the stuff I have stored now is all after 2.0.1.
I'm keeping whatever pieces I can't upgrade on my characters, and the ones I do upgrade are either brimstoned, or kept in my stash for transmog. I'm assuming all items pre-2.0 are usable by the Mystic for transmog, so I'm stocking up.
^^I like that in PoE. You always keep an eye out for perfect white items that you can then improve.
So in PoE you use whites for crafting and that's a good thing. In D3 you use whites for crafting and they are just "pinata/crafting stuff."
Got it!
It's not exactly that simple. In PoE the white item's stats, and gem slots it has are what determine how useful it will be as the base of a crafted item. In Diablo 3 none of that will matter, it'll just become a material.
I think that's what he was getting at.
The item was changed to "allows 2 hydras to be spawned at one time" or something like that, can't find the link now, but it was a blue post.
I believe he worded it as "one additional hydra" so it would be at minimum two hydras. Other gear could potentially make that number grow beyond that. Say for example they put in an item called the "Hydra Lord's Crown" that allows you to summon two additional hydras. Suddenly you have four. That could be very interesting.
Mephisto possibly being pictured in one of those portraits kind of brings this particular piece of lore to mind:
Mephisto is also considered the most intensely evil of the brothers. So overwhelming is his evil that his malevolent influence can bring the dead back to life; these zombified beasts are filled with such anger for the living that not even a second death can quench their desire to inflict pain and suffering.
I sold something the other day. I underpriced it quite a bit, but it sold within a day. With the current state of gold value and rampant botting I'll probably be using the RMAH to sell, and then use that money to buy. I can't compete with botters for higher value items.
Blizzard really should look into adding something similar to Path of Exile's League system. You pick your league (Normal, Hardcore, PVP, Hardcore PVP, Legacy, Ladder, etc).
- Normal would be what we have now. Including a GAH, and RMAH for players. No resets.
- Harcore would be just like Hardcore now. GAH, no RMAH. No resets. Death is final.
- PVP would allow for aggression (at the very least flagging). So just like Normal but with PVP. GAH, possiblt RMAH.
- PVP Hardcore is just like above, but death is final. Includes player looting. GAH only.
Then you could have a Ladder type League where everything is reset every 6 months. No RMAH to avoid people spending money on stuff they're just going to lose. Possibly a GAH, or if not maybe a tweak in the drop rates to compensate.
Just some random thoughts I had in the last five minutes.
The game isn't perfect, and theres some stuff I'm not crazy about; but I just ignore the complaining. I've been having a very good time with it so far. The complainers are a vocal minority. Theres a lot of them hanging around Blizzard's games sadly. The official forums are a tough place to see any worthwhile discussion.
I'll be leaving here shortly to head to Walmart and try and snag a CE copy from in-store (very unlikely they'll have any). I'm literally walking in the moment the doors open. The epic quest that I've been mapping out in my head for months now.
Not sad at all to be missing all the server problems. Pretty much the reason I didn't go digital in the first place.
It's not even an achievement...it's a Feat of Strength. Doesn't add to your point totals.
Maybe I'm biased because I was in closed beta...but why is everyone bent out of shape over some silly Feat of Strength? We're on the precipice of release here people...who cares about this little shit? Let's enjoy the game.
I dislike the jerky anime style movements...but it's what I expected. The lore is intriguing...and honestly what made it entertaining to me more than anything.
I've got three friends playing, but I'm always looking for more folks to run with. I'll jot these Battletags down. Mine's down under my avatar there to the left.
See you all in game :-).

Hm....
Crusader looks like a solid class. Nice to see more melee.
