Twitch TV gives better quality to users with more views.
Whether or not that is true (and I'm pretty sure it isn't), as somebody who has actually streams and usually has no viewers, the "quality cap" is high enough that any quality issues are almost certainly on his side.
Found this while the AH was down, and wasn't sure what it was worth. Now that the AH is back up, I still have no idea what it's worth. I've see comparable things selling for anything from 100M to 1B. Either way, it's more than I've sold an item for before, so I'd like to be careful. Any help? Thanks!
While my profile says that only 36% of my total time is on a Wizard, I've been pretty much only been playing my Wizard since about October, which feels in the spirit of the competition. Feel free to DQ me, I just want to guess. (Zephyron#1237)
Actually, about 75% of legendaries come from white mobs, which this route takes advantage of. In the case of players with good mf, or high enough paragon, the mf from nephalem stacks is pretty small. So, with good base mf I can see this route actually being a lot better for finding legendaries.
I haven't noticed a drop off in legendaries/hour myself since switching, but I am max mf. Also, I don't really keep a running average either so I'm just going off of what I've seen. If someone would like to do some tests and give their numbers it would definitely help.
Yeah, I agree with this guy. From my admittingly little testing (roughly 4-5 hours of doing this route, but also starting with core to get a quick few stacks and with about 200% base MF), I've found my legendary drop rate increase quite noticably. And as said, most of my legendaries have been coming from white mobs, which this run maximizes.
Out of curiosity, have you tested any other snapshotting? Like maybe even something as drastic as removing your weapon or changing the amount of int you have after you cast Storm Armor and seeing if it keeps your DPS from cast? I haven't heard of anybody testing that kind of snapshotting before (although they probably have).
First, you gain no life from Storm Armor with the Blood Magic rune.
Second, if you have no life steal on your weapon, activate Storm Armor, then switch to a life steal weapon, you gain no life.
Third, if you have a life steal weapon equipped, activate Storm Armor, then switch to a non life steal weapon, you still gain life.
I can't speak to the first one (are you applying it before storm armor?), but it's possible the second two might be more of an undocumented feature rather a bug (although they might be a bug!) This is essentially life steal snapshotting. A popular example would be with Demon Hunters who activate Shadow Power - Blood Moon for 25% life steal and then just keep strafe going. Even after SP ends, the snapshotted 25% life steal is still active the entire duration of strafe.
It takes me a little under 12 to do the entire run on average. This run is specifically made for xp/hour and not loot, although if you add the core and the caverns of frost in the fields of slaughter, it will be perfect for loot, as those two zones are extremely high in elites, but they will drop your exp/hour.
You mention Caverns of Frost. Does this also include Icefall Caverns? My instinct says "no" since it sort of feels like it's bigger, maze-ier, and maybe there's fewer elites, but I was wondering what your data says.
Every ability has a "proc coefficient" that determines this. Many single target abilities have a proc coefficient of 1 which means it always happens, whereas other abilities, like Sprint - Run Like the Wind's tornadoes only have .08 proc coefficient which means only 8% of the time you crit will you get the bonus rage. These are generally balanced so that if it can hit very fast or multiple targets the proc rate is lower to compensate, otherwise the abilities would be ridiculously overpowered.
