Not entirelly sure why you think its needed to tell everyone that you got a refund?
Some may call this fanboi-ism, so say what you will. The fact that you gave the developers your money and played their game for 65 hours, only to decide you didn't like it and wanted a refund in the first place is flat out retarded. You basically pirated their game, you played it as much as you wanted to then threw it away and got all your money back - if thats not the closest thing to piracy I don't know what is.
I'm really agitated now, and I hope the customer rep was full of shit. Pre-ordered the CE on 25th of March. Since 10am this morning my order has been stuck on Shipping Soon. I just got off the phone with the rep and he said, we'll get it to you soon, but unfortunately we don't have any more right now. What the hell, so much for pre-order, release day shipping, and amazon prime, and they charged my account already, I thought they couldn't do that unless it shipped... I think next game release I am going to order from somewhere else. I want to call back, but I better cool down for a bit
I think you'll be fine, looking at the tracking details of my order, mine sat in "Shipping Soon" for over 4 hours after the fact that it was already shipped. Amazon is just a little slow changing it over to Shipped and giving you a Tracking#. From 8am-4pm it stated Shipping Soon for me, but UPS already had the package by noon.
I don't like it myself honestly. Considering it is also heavily based on a small fraction of Act 1 as to what we're seeing right now, I bet people using this will eventually encounter several areas of the game later that just look like total crap in comparison to the normal game displays.
Not sure if I approve of the monk using weapons or not. I was really enjoying the punching.
It wasn't entirelly the punching that was causing people to speak out about it. If you watch some videos you'll notice that the monk will run around with his weapons out, he'll attack something and suddenly they disappear from his hands to his belt - the second the attack is done, they'll teleport back to his hands. Repeat this process for every single time you use a generator and you get the idea.
I received both the release date email -and- another email stating that my order was automatically updated to Release Date shipping for only .99 cents. A couple days later I check the status and not only is my order still set to 1 day shipping, i'm still set to pay $9 in shipping costs.
Contacted customer service and they claim that Amazon had to pull back some of the release date shippings because they couldn't guarantee everyone they had given it to would receive it on release day, the only plus is that she lowered my shipping costs to .99 with 1 day shipping. The bad part... It says "Estimated Delivery: May 17th" even with 1 day shipping.
Update! I randomly checked the Amazon website, release date was finally available and I selected it on the spot. Estimate delivery now shows 15th, yay!
My best guess is if you notice its a different perspective picture from all the others. It was likely taken from somewhere else, an older screenshot where the helmet wasn't ready yet.

I've used it in my beta copy, it's clumbersome and clunky. It's not efficent to easily go through your skills like the old window. I like how the runes themselves were changed but this UI isn't very good and it's getting a bit irritating just how much Blizzard is focusing on making this game for people who have never played a Diablo series before.
By death animations, does he mean special finishers like the Siegebreaker eating the guy's head or normal deaths caused by random monsters throughout the world?
Special finishers, such as the head being bit off - it was all scripted for a video with no real intention to actually have it in the game.. (Least not yet, who knows?).
Don't all the other classes have skill animations with their weapons? I've definitely seen wizards launching magic missiles from a swinging sword.
The worst part about the monk animations isn't that the animations themselves don't exist, is that when the monk uses a skill the weapons "Disappear" so to speak and go back to being sheathed and/or on his back but when he's in between skills the weapons magically appear in his hands, ready to be used.
The whole process is:
Weapons out, ready to attack!
Use a skill! Weapons Holstered!
Small time between another skill! Weapons in your hands!
Use a skill! Weapons Holstered!
Repeat...
It looks amazingly terrible for an AAA Blizzard game.
There is also currently no loot management in place in Diablo III. If you were player two and you wanted that legendary bow, you would need to talk with that player one and hope that they are willing to trade it to you for either a price or even for free if you are lucky : )
But say Player 1 is more advanced and wealthy than Player 2 and has no need to even bother picking up the "legendary bow."
Unless P1 spoke up out of the goodness of his heart, P2 would never even know about the "legendary bow" that dropped.
P1 doesn't need the item, and doesn't care if P2 needs it (let's face it, not everyone will care), so the item goes to waste and disappears into the void of forgotten items with my old nerf guns and batman action figures.
Could there be some sort of in-game message that is displayed for everyone in the chat pane when Legendary/Uniques and Set Items drop:
"Player 1 has uncovered a Legendary Bow."
I'm no game designer, and I trust the D3 dev team, but I think that this would encourage player interaction and cooperation.
It also would wipe away the constant feeling that that shiny new item that you really need right now just dropped for someone else, but you'll never know.
I think that if you include a feature like that, there would be NO downside to the new loot system. Anyone else feel strongly about this?
I think if I ever actually grouped with unknown people/strangers, I would rather them not know that a legendary item dropped for me because then you will have people that fully expect you to hand them the item simply because, "I can use it, it has stats I use - give it to me" - Of course i won't be playing with anyone but friends, but don't underestimate peoples greed even if it does drop for you on -your- loot table and not theirs. If I choose to share that I got the item, sure - otherwise, no.
Miss actually being able to play. Their battletag system has stupid retard naming restrictions thats hindering a lot of people from making seemingly harmless names. I have Beta access but cannot play unless i pick some random name that no one knows me by that i could potentially be stuck with forever.
"Mikuro" is apparantly a naming violation, despite it being the handle I had for SC/D2/War3, multiple characters in warcraft and the name of my SC2 account. Go figure
Mikuro? Change the M to a D and you can see why they banned the name.
Ah well, i'm just waiting on the Battletag fixes that Bashiok tweeted on like a week ago, haven't been able to make the name since they started the system in early December

Edit: Kirisu wins, and now I look dumb

Mikuro is in violation of the naming policy also... just gotta wait on them to fix the terribad naming restrictions Bashiok tweeted about a week ago
