Lol looking at your arcane power to test crits must be a foolproof method. How about turning on critical damage numbers only?
It is considering when i spam disintegrate into a crowd with only "show critical damage" checked no numbers appear on my screen but my ap bar stays completely maxed out. Thank you for the input tho. To make sure it wasn't a bug with display I tested other spells such as arcane orb and they do show the critical numbers. It just seems to refuse showing crit numbers with dots.
Test numbers are 32% crit and 20 ap on crit 0 outside sources of bonus regen. Tested on Mira Eamond since she is a simple easy to reach elite.
Disintegrate and Ray of Frost both crit and recieve benefit Ap on Crit. Ray: Cold Blooded I could spam infinitely on a single target and Disintegrate: Convergence I stayed at max when firing into the zombie crowd. Still lost AP on a single target.
*Edit* Energy Twister also benefits from crit/ap on crit now. Still bad lol
Venom Hydra and Blizzard both seem to either not be critting or not working with Ap on Crit. Its hard to tell which as none of these skills would display critical numbers when i had only that option on.
*Edit* As an amusing side if you use Disintegrate: Chaos Nexus it shows the criticals of the little side beams that shoot out.
Using venom hydra and blizzard I am currently not noticing any crits. I have 20 ap on crit and have not once seen my AP jump up while hydra/bliz kiting. Have yet to test Incinerate or RoF cause i don't want to lose my 5 stack.
The stat life on hit and how it scales with our spells.
If you have 100 life on hit and shoot something with a say a Seeker Magic missle you will get 100 life back. But say you shoot something with an Obliterate Arcane Orb you will only get back 30 life.. but that is per target hit by the spell. Don't have any life on hit gear to put some of these values test my self.. I'll give it a go later when i find some.
I hope you are just messing around. If you are serious, then I question whether or not you are any good at most RPG games.
I know right i remember sitting in my living room when I was six or seven comparing how much better the silver sword was vs the 4000 gold it took to purchase for FF1. Stupid elves making me grind ogres and poisonous spiders for hours and hours. And for the record the sword was totally worth it.. made that cave full o zombies and slimes sooo much easier. Back in those days psn debuffs were brutal.

All of these tests were done in Act 1 of Inferno on the slow zombies. I need some help from the rest of you wizards in helping me correct and refine some of these values. They're only rough values at the moment because I haven't had time to do more extensive testing. In any event, I thought it would be useful.
When I refer to a % value, that's the percent of life-on-hit you get. So if you cast Magic Missile and you have 100 life on hit, you get 120 life, but casting Arcane Orb only gives you 30 life per target hit by the explosion.
Magic Missle:
-Charged Blast: 100% (single target)
-Split: 30% per target hit
-Penetrating Blast: 30% per target hit
-Attunement: 100% (single target)
-Seeker: 100% (single target)
Shock Pulse:
-Explosive Bolts: 15% per target hit per bolt + 40% on explosion (unsure of targets)
-Fire Bolts: 30-40% per target hit (maybe 35%?). This includes per bolt. If more than 1 bolt hits, you get the benefit of both (ie: 2 bolts is double the healing 1 bolt is)
-Piercing Orb: 20-30% (probably 25%) per target hit
-Lightning Affinity: 30-40% per target hit (35%?)
-Living Lightning: 1% (?) per shock. Needs further testing.
Spectral Blade:
-Deep Cuts: 60-80% per target per triple hit, bleed generates no healing.
-Impactful Blade: 20-30% per target per triple hit.
-Siphoning Blade: 60-70% per target per triple hit.
-Healing Blades: 60-70% per target per triple hit.
-Thrown Blade: ??? (needs further testing, couldn't get a good test)
Electrocute:
-Chain Lightning: 15% (?) per target hit
-Forked Lightning: 10-20% (15%?) per target hit
-Lightning Blast: 10-20% (15%?) per target hit, successive hits heal all in one tick as a lump sum
-Surge of Power: 30-50% per target hit
-Arc Lightning: 15% (?) per target hit

Seeker vs. Piercing Orb is a matter of preference. I like the fact i can use seeker and hydra to shoot around corners safely. Also seeker lets you shoot indiscriminately off screen without having to aim really and it has a really good range... Awesome for when you just teleported out of a wall in or jail and you know them buggers are right on your tail off the edge of the screen
If money is an issue you aren't farming hell mephis.. I mean Azmodan nearly enough. j/k I fail to see the logic of "I wasted my money on all this crit gear" as well. I assure you spells will continue critting whether you use CM or not lol.
I suspect it will be a nerf to critical mass or a change to the mechanics so we cannot chain freeze mobs all day using living lightning and a fast attack weapon.
This isn't technically a nerf its a bug fix. Critical mass works perfectly fine. The problem was the outrageous number of times Magic Weapon: Venom seemed to proc it. Anyone could see there wasn't something quite right. My skills were resetting completely from just the venom ticks alone. Even IF it was working as intended 100 to 0 locking a boss would have been nerfed regardless. I'd rather venom proc it less than have an ICD put on it cause than on aoes i still get pretty fast resets.
Hopefully nobody beats inferno mode again and makes a video for a while with a wizard cause i don't want to be forced to reroll. J/king LoL From the looks of their wording this is directly related to how much Magic Weapon: Venom proc'ed critical mass. I hope they don't nerf signature spells next.. I'm pretty sure every build includes tho.
