I don't know how deep you got into all of the extras, but I went ahead and completed the subject 16 video and collected all of the codex pages. If you read them all and paid attention to what was said and shown during the 20 mini puzzles, the ending really made sense.
If you didn't, though, I can totally see how it would feel like it came out of left field.
I felt like I was uncovering a conspiracy little by little through the game.
In an attempt to remain objective, I should probably mention that going into this game, I really wanted to like it. So maybe I tricked myself into giving it more credit than it deserves, but I feel like I would have liked it anyway.
It's not a perfect game, but it's certainly a decent story and left me waiting for another game.
The idea of being an assassin and the sci-fi twist to the first one intrigued me, but I couldn't finish the game on account of the boring mission structure.
I couldn't put AC2 down. They fixed practically everything that sucked about the first one. At no point did I feel like I was getting a rehashed AC1 experience.
If that's not a testament to how good AC2 is, I don't know what is.
It's definitely worth picking up. The ending will make you crap your pants.
Corpse Explosion works on dead skeletons in Diablo 2 and they spew blood and guts everywhere. Same goes for Fire Enchanted skeletons when they die in Diablo 2.
The Diablo series isn't notorious for certain mechanics making sense in every situation. Still, no one is calling diablo 2 a bad game because skeletons sometimes blow up and spew fore everywhere.

They've also stated that because of the way that the skill trees work, and how math in general works, they know that there will always be one build that has the highest damage for a class among all builds. What they've said they're going to try to do is make the difference between the "best" build and the other builds as small as possible, so that you don't feel like you "have" to build ur character a certain way. Also, if you get bored of the Cookie Cutter Best Build...you can switch it up without feeling like you're really gimping yourself hard.
Mobility within a company usually depends on your work ethic and efficiency. Job security in CIS isnt as big a problem as in most other industries because it is on the fastest upward trend in America. Also a person with a 2 year degree and 2 years of on the job experience will be less likely to be fired than a newbie out of a 4 year college imo. You'll have to weigh the risk for your self. You might end up taking 2 extra years of college for a job you could have gotten right out of a 2 year, or you might end up getting a slightly better job and advancing more swiftly in your field.
A bachelor's degree also keeps you open to other options outside of the corporate world. Teaching, namely. You're right that it's not a huge difference between the two, but I'm still of the opinion that the bachelor's degree is worth it, regardless.
It really depends on the person and what they want to do or how comfortable they feel with the various levels of education.
I think I wasn't clear in what I meant when I said that 2 year colleges are better than 4 year universities. I meant that it's a good idea to get your associate's degree before going on to a university. It'll help you get an internship and it's cheaper than going 4 years straight at the more expensive university.

They don't promote people to lead programmer, project manager, or any other semi-management positions if they only have an associate's degree. Or atleast it's not very likely.
Just my 2 cents. i'd suggest getting the associate's, then the bachelor's, then working and maybe getting a master's. That's my plan anyway.
I'm a computer science major, and I'd say that it really doesn't matter where you go to school.
The field changes so fast that any education that you get is going to be tailored towards what's going on in the field right now (i.e. Capstone classes). Within a year of graduating and getting a job, you might be doing stuff that they never talked about in any of your coding classes. So basically, a year or so after graduating, your education level/knowledge base is going to be equivalent to someone who payed half as much for their degree if you end up going to a more pricey college. Decide where to go based on things like job placement for graduates, internship opportunities, distance from your family, and cost.
P.S.
Community college is a great idea. It's cheap and often times you'll get a better education in the liberal arts and some of your basic computer science and math classes. Do you want to be in a class where the professor knows you by your student id instead of your name? I'd rather be called on by name.

I seem to remember an interview that either Jay Wilson or Rob Pardo gave right after the wizard was announced about Slow Time. They said that in the current actual build of D3 the Slow Time wasn't spammable because of it's mana cost, which was huge. He also said that they might change it to a straight cool down and lower the cost.
In all honesty...Slow time would probably be used against a ranged class in pvp, if the Wizard is dealing with a Barb, she'll probably just teleport away. That's what I'd do.
If you want to talk about wizard abilities that might be over powered, talk about the cold abilites in the storm tree. Freeze on Crit seems like it could definitely mess up any class.

yeah they really need to implement somethign such as this because it would ease the flow of the game no more trade specific games clustering up the games lobby. Plus i feel it would be much qquicker and painless for a system like that to be implemented just overall an easier user experience which is what their going for right?...right
I look at it this way:
Do I want to spend an hour creating/joining/searching for trade games to trade my item? Or do I want to be able to post it publicly and check up on offers for the item from time to time and finally trade it when an offer that I like comes along and continue playing/leveling/finding more items to trade while I wait for offers to come in?
I think everyone would agree they like the latter way of trading. You want to not break up the action and keep playing in a fast paced game? Spending hours lurking in the trade channel and joining trade games over and over again looking for a specific item with specific stats sounds like the epitome of breaking up the fast paced action.
When you think about it in those terms, no matter how an Auction House is structured, it's going to be better than the system in the previous D2 games.
lol no problem and to your quetoon how its diffrent than d2 other than it being outside the game because in D2 you could put up and offer and request a specific item and auto trade if someone has that item willing to trade for yours. =]

The advantage is that all of the Bullshit offers aren't going to require you to leave a trade window and wait 5 seconds for someone else to click on you and make another bullshit offer. You can just either ignore or straight up reject dumb offers on ur items in an AH ui.
Yes that would be useful if the person was lookign for offers but again that slows down the fast pace, I do see where your coming from but personally id never let people offer sometimes youd get crap offers not even worth it and then having to stay there and just wait, a big waste of time if you ask me, but i totlly get what your saying and it makes perfect sense. =]

Right now my idea is to set up the system so that you can essentially trade just like we always have in D2 without actually having to be in a game.
To remedy the whole trying to trade an item for specific items, just add a comment box to the posting interface where you can list the items your specifically looking for, and whether your willing to accept other offers or not.
That's not terribly complicated to program and implement.

I just spent literally all day doing algebra for class, I came on here to unwind and talk about diablo 3, so thanks for challenging my noodle on how to design and implement a decent AH system. It's fun as hell for me. :-D
My idea would take longer. That's true. But it would also allow you to get the best deal possible on your item. Having multiple people be able to offer on it and adjust their offer to compete against each other is great if your selling.
My idea is exactly how contracts are bid/bought on the market in the real world.
Bottom line, it might be slower, but it makes more sense economically standing.
Let's say that you have an offer from someone your willing to accept but they don't log on for a few days. Nothing in my system prevents you from being impatient and trading it to someone else since that person hasn't been online to trade anyway.
I think you need to understand that I'm talking about having everyone in the server/realm be able to see and bid on your items.
Getting good deals and finding people to trade with wouldn't be an issue with my system.
Most transactions would take place instantly the way that they do in D2 now except that there wouldn't be any cancelling trade screen, running to the stash, grabbing more, and coming back, or god forbid having to go grab a mule. Scamming might even be easier to catch (not that is was ever a problem so long as you weren't an idiot).
How is someone not accepting an offer because they had to go to work and will have to wait to come home to accept the AH offer different than saying "Hey, I have to go to work, trade when I get home?" in diablo 2 and someone holding it for you.
I guess I can understand how you might think it slows down gameplay...but I think when you count up all the parts, it either streamlines the system in parts or doesn't slow it down anymore than it is in d2 in other situations.
I think if you really think about it, you'll like my system.

He'll also be able to see that my offer is set to auto accept.
Does that make sense?
