Not to sound negative, but I strongly doubt it. The maps that are implemented in RTS are no way comparable to a CRPG environment. The level of complexity is totally different. Not saying it's impossible but unlikely.
Although some past RPG's had editors attached to them, the Diablo franchise has never been the case. Mostly because other RPG's don't have the random dungeon feature that Diablo has. Unless Blizzard felt there was a huge demand for it, they wouldn't need to create such an editor. Thus the reason why they offer replayability through randomness, so folks don't have to go out of their way to make new maps.
The RTS genre (Starcraft) doesn't offer this randomness in landscape since the game is played on a single map from start to end. Therefor the public would expect that an editor be included to be able to create a range of various battlefields. When they make an RPG however, they don't just create battlefields, they make worlds and insert randomness in it.
Good point

As I've said many times, there are old fans and new fans. Any old fan who played and enjoyed warcraft 1 and warcraft 2, for example, would give warcraft 3 a whole-hearted "Meh". After WoW, they'd most likely enjoy piling dirt on the grave of the warcraft franchise.
Something drastic happened within blizzard after Diablo 2 was produced. Some people like what this change has done to blizzard and its games. I think it's destroyed the best game company to have ever existed. Anyway, defensive and angry that their flawed point of view is being attacked by the serious, intelligent gamers that blizzard built its reputation on, some of these people revert to a condition I like to call "zombie fanboy". In this terrible condition, blizzard can do absolutely no wrong, and anyone--regardless of the legitimacy of their arguments--who says otherwise is living in the past. Blizzard-mandated change of any kind is automatically an improvement over earlier games in the franchise. Thankfully, few people are full zombie fanboys, but I'd estimate that 95% of WoW players and 75% or so of Blizzard fans in general are partially infected by zombie fanboyitis. Those of us who remain sane may have to flee before we, too, succumb.

With DPS they can still force you to change weapons. What if your usual weapon is a gigantic hammer that does massive damage, but only swings every 5 seconds and you have to face a whole bunch of tiny scarabs or maybe a pack of zombies, then you would have to switch to a faster weapon with less damage and more hits per second.

there is a very small possibility that there's a playable demo there. I wouldnt hope too much for it. Especially since they just finished working with the game engines. Content according to the devs is the most fun part, but theres still much work to do and there shouldnt be any pressure to release it too soon (i'd rather have it delayed for 6 months than have it full of bugs like Gothic 3 - that would have made a great game if not for the bugs).
A demo is the best of both situations because it gives you an early game fix, but it is not full of bugs because it is only a small part of the game, so it can be refined.
