There will probably be immunities, he simply stated that there won't be immunities like from Diablo 2 Hell. Some creatures who would literally resist every possible source of damage for some chars.
If there are immunities though, it might be only 1 single immunity. Diablo 3's skill system is actually structured around the possibility of immunities. So even if possible immunities are in the game, they will not be anywhere near as powerful as they were in Diablo 2.
After watching the 5v5 arena I don't think it will be a problem at all. Diablo is pretty fast pace game it will just be similar to if they took a pot at low HP. Monks just get 2 of them.
Monks can cheat death, then immune for 8 seconds which then heals them, then use their heal ability, then potion. That is nonsense and will be abused. Diablo pvp is fast paced, not slow like WoW with exploitable abilities like cheat death.
Then die anyway 20 seconds later. While Time could be stretched in WoW. It will not be so easily swayed in Diablo 3 because of its fast pace nature. You just won't survive until the next activation. Especially if its a 3 vs 3 and you get stunned in the middle of them immediately after being revived.
WoW has a slow paced nature for PvP, that to this day they are still trying to fix. Which is why strategies like that would work. Even if by some miracle this becomes the most powerful strategy in PvP. Blizzard could then just say, this passive is completely removed from PvP.
They have stated they are going to change the passives up a bit to reward the use of different generators (to make that more viable). Of course you can still make do with only one, but if may be something to consider when we get the new patch notes. (soon(tm))
Cool =3
I don't really like the current passives at all. They aren't rewarding at all for making your own builds with. Some of them are pretty powerful general passives though.
I think this skill calculator can hold me off till Diablo 3 is released =3. I don't actually want to play the beta that much mainly because I have to replay it anyway when I get the game. This calculator gives a general idea of what runes to aim for when the game comes out though =3.
One spirit gainer and 4 spenders? Think you need to rethink that mate
Based on how the class actually works, you dont need more than 1 generator. But You could use a few based on situations. I'm just betting that I will be doing enough damage close range to be able to use any ability i want for the situation =3. I won't need another generator since i'll be using my 1 powered up generator the entire time.
My moves are a summon, a shield, semi teleport, thorns mantra, and 1 damage ability. Since I don't use a lot of spirit Except for really the teleport and my 1 attack. I should be fine.
The rune abilities are especially important for the build. The build would pretty much suck with the base abilities but the runes are what allows it to work. Since without the runes they are just a bunch of single target abilities.
Call of Duty has a large body of gamers who absolutely hate it for being well... the most basic shooter game that's recycled with every sequel. But it still manages to acquire an enormous fan base (I really fail to see how - but than again I have a brain). So I wouldn't worry about people being turned off from playing D3 just because people a complaining about what they don't like in it. =)
Well I'm hoping the game wins awards as it definitely deserves to. But I just don't think its realistic to think it will happen soley because its my favorite game series =3. I'm also not really worried about it or anything xD. But most definitely if those biased players who play some of those shooters were to try Diablo 3 when it comes out. I know for a fact they will like it simply because it has enough action elements to the game for them to play it. If those players lose those biased outlooks on games, then maybe Diablo 3 could ROTFL stomp everyone and win a sales award. XD
I know it will probably win Game of the Year like every other game they ever released though.

one of those 2 numbers
There is a passive that increases the number as well.
The generators are pretty good at generating spirit, but you wont be able to spam spells like decoy nonstop constantly xD
EDIT= Verified at 200/200 in the beginning of the gamme
