i get it for the guys who are going for a fast inferno clear, and trying to be competetive about it, then it's obligatory to optimalize and be familiar with all abilities and combinations there is, but for me i will take my time and play through the game exploring everything and enjoying it. and i will just try out different abilities as they unlock untill lvl 60 anyways. As i start playing inferno there will be so much content available on the internet that i can found out which builds works and doesn't by then.
I still spend a hell of a lot of time with the calculator now with all classes though, just to check what abilities and runes there are for all classes, as i will be playing this game to strive to be the best with time.
Diablo's head with the flash drive in it and the box itself is what made me interessted, the in game wings made me buy it rather than playing at midnight on release no release date shipping so hope i wont regret it.
Love the fact that they keep the sc2 way of installing with telling you the story pic by pic with probably awesome music.
If thet manage to datamine some stuff from it, i wonder if i will be looking at it or not, spoiling the story can lessen the enjoyment of enjoying the story in game.
I pre ordered from amazon.co.uk this afternoon, live in norway though so can't choose "release day delivery", but i'm fine with it. I just hope i wont regret it and find out i should have went to a local store instead. I just really really want the CE as it's so awesome!
Magic Find and Gold Find are now shared amongst party members. The average combined value of the entire party's Magic and Gold Find applies to all players regardless of location in the game world. The averaged values will not display in the UI.
The bold part. So basically if I join a game I dont know my own MF? Because if its averaged in groups but the average doesnt show up in the UI I have no way to know my own MF Oo (except I inspect all player and calulate their MF... or ask and hope they dont lie to me Oo).
So yeah... it prevents the hating against other players... but discourages MFers even more from joining a group
Maybe to discurrage leaving the group immidiatly. You join, check groups MF%, and see it's way below what you get if going solo and just leave.
Hardcore in beta feels pretty pointless. If you die below level 10, you just lvl another char to 10 within an hour. If you die above lvl 10, your probably afk or running nude... i guess a unique stash and set of items for hardcore is somewhat cool though.
Nonetheless, really excited to play some more beta tomorrow!
Double damage seems a little bit wierd, i haven't died more than once yet in beta, and that was in weeping hollow trying to do a naked iron man run with barbarian, bash with fists only got me so so far...
A good point to bring up is the ability to make builds at lvl 60 in game. With WoW you can't really use the in game talent tree to set up different builds, you will most likely go to wowhead or other sites to experiment.
With so many more choices that there is in diablo 3, the ui should definatly be set up in a way where you can indeed experiment a lot on the fly. With that i think the most important change that needs to take place, is that you should be able to swap abilities still on cool down, so the cd just restarts when you change to something else.
It may not be as beautiful as the op, but this is what i want.
It has the new design for the skills to chose (for LM, RM, 1,2,3,4), but put on top of eachother like it was before.
With elective mode you'll see as shown all the abilities and all can go everywhere, with drag and drop so you can swap places for two abilities (this should also work on the action bar). You wont have to wait for the cooldown between changing and viewing abilities like you do now, but you need to wait before you can use them.
When you choose an ability with elective mode you get promted to choose a rune to the right of all the abilities, so you can still choose another ability.
Without elective mode, only the respective 3 or 4 abilities will come up and the runes to choose between will appear belove these abilities instead to save space.
As a last note I really really personally hope that they will have an option to have unused abilities shown as *NEW* untill you actually have tried them. With 3 new runes each level it can be a pain in the ass to remember what rune you've newly unlocked (i already have this problem in beta). Reason for this being that, well i don't know about you, but at least I will try every new rune and ability i unlock all the way to lvl 60 just to check them out.
I'm so happy there is such a great site for the diablo 3 community to grow. The popularity for the game is already so high.
The patch looks good, i do not lit it if runes are made easemode, the more drops the merrier. Else it seems good and i love updates more than anything almost no matter what they are.
Since i enjoy melee the most it will be a barbarian or monk for sure. While barbarian seems to be the obvious choice, the female monk seems really cool. Guess a lot may still change before release. As for hardcore i will deffinatly want to play a range class though, with a lot of crowd control. Probably the witch doctor.
