Yeah, you can definitely break 2 minutes with AW/CS and tals 6PC. I end up teleporting around so quick its almost not enjoyable. Lately, I've been going a bit slower since I need blues so I open everything.

If you're in a group with a crusader + WD you take very little damage in grifts. Typically, they go ahead and lock mobs down. If you play smart and in a constant group I think it is completely possible.

Plus we're talking 800+ paragon for resists and probably one high level defensive gem.

Might have to try that Star Pact setup and see how that performs

Loot Share (LS)-When you're in a group people give other people the gear they don't need. So you're better off joining a group with 3 other wizards since you all will get gear for your class.

I'm assuming you're on the computer....go to the bottom right and click on the button. You see a community box/window/button. Once you get to that area you want to search for 'wizard' and join the large US Wizard community. You then can join the chat channel. There are also communities for rifts and grifts depending if you're playing season or non-season. Sorry if the explanation isn't clear but they changed the UI this past patch and I forget, which of the vertical buttons it is.

Once you get the gear 35+, 40+, 45+. 50+ grifts are better for blood shards. For now I would stick with running regular rifts in public games (better magic find if you have a full group) on T6. At this point you should get grouped with someone who can carry the entire group if you're struggling. If you want to try grifts you can but its probably only worth it at this point to level legendary gems to 25.

If you join the US Wizard community there are often people running loot share groups. It's a good way to meet fellow people and get gear with other wizards.

No do not gamble for weapons or jewelry. Armor has better odds...working on getting all your tal pieces...be patient.

I find with wicked wind and blizzard that CC/kiting is not an issue without using teleport. The only mobs I hate are ones chucking spears.

Double Hydra is going to be more damage on the elites/RG's.

Switch toxin gem to esoteric

Switch Astral to Arcane Dynamo like Cosmic said and switch to surge of Power since the speed coefficient is double that of shock pulse for building the AD stacks.

Assuming you have paragon points into AS you're wasting 13.66% or you are 14% away from the next BP. The main waste would be paragon pts or on the wand right now.

Get lucky and find an ancient SS

With your current gear you need 7.13% (7.2) AS from paragon points for the next hydra break point...make sure you got that. Otherwise, you are wasting 13.13% AS from gear.

If you're going the range tals spec with F + R, I find it best to use black hole instead of calamity for your arcane procs. This gives you crowd control and the proc at a distance. BH and blizzard-frozen solid basically lets you lock down a pack of mobs until it's dead. The BH also triggers strongarms.

When I'm in a group I run with a lot I actually dropped teleport for BH (kept magic weapon) and use unwavering will instead of illusionist. Solo I can clear 46/47 with this spec but much higher the teleport comes in handy to get away from certain affixes. In the group I'm allotted the time to stand still and nuke so it works out well.

I'll have to try this spec. I think I have most of the gear needed just haven't had time to play much since season 2 finished.

It's kinda nice being able to use the gear that I've horded in my stash over the last two seasons

You can look at how much each stat is worth to your character using diabloprogress.com. Here are MY stats as an example....


Elemental DPS: 1,472,308.20 (Fire)

• 1.00% +Fire Skills Damage gives you 10,668.90 dps
• 1.00% Critical Hit Chance gives you 21,299.43 dps
• 1.00% Critical Damage gives you 2,441.79 dps
• 1.00% Attack Speed gives you 12,167.84 dps
• 100 Intelligence gives you 16,104.88 dps

So 420 int is worth 67,640.496 dps, 500 int is worth 80,524.4 dps, 6CC is worth 127,796.58 dps, 50 CHD is worth 122,089.5 dps for me. The other thing int gives is all resist but for most high rifts its not too important plus int can be made up in paragon levels as you get higher.

So for most people CC and CHD are higher because there are only certain items that can roll it..rings being one of them. You can get int on everything.

Toxin is the way to go.

I use glass cannon personally. At high grifts most things will one shot you regardless of the 10% armor/AR. This is why I use force over prismatic too.

I use a lightning build that is similar but I use archon and a TF (don't have a top end SoH) and it performs decent on T5/6.

I think arcane and fire are better/more efficient but I have more fun with lightning. I pretty much have the gear for any spec and by far I have the most fun electrocuting the entire screen Can't wait for the 2.1 changes

It's a nice spec solo but I think a true CDR archon build would be better in groups.
