Hey OP awesome post and that is very nice of you. I can help any players you dont have time to get too, or classes you didnt mention above - ie, monks and barbs. of course go to the OP first as this is his show, but if he is busy you can always hit me up - ysoserious#1178
edit: north american servers; and if your looking for me add me as i might forget to check this post. thanks again to the OP for suggesting this. its great to see helpful players on bnet.
Also Awesome dude I think I played with you on PTR once. I might just friend you again.
I'm with ArosRS on this: Wait until 2.1, reroll socket to CDR and add a socket with Ramaladni's Gift.
To be honest, your weapon is the best Item you've got. It won't help you much to reroll anything on it. You need lots more eDPS, and you get that on other stuff.
Thanks Flexy.
Anything you would suggest to tweek and re-roll on other pieces then?
Honestly the wait wouldn't bother me too much due to the fact i only get to play a few hours a week anyway. It's not a bad Idea depending on how fast PTR goes. If I find another similarly rolled Fate then I can do it or if I get antsy lol after all I dont NEED the all the CDs maxed until I get Akahan and a royal ring.
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/DocSun-1755/hero/44078485 Easy Question what should I re-roll on my FotF to make it better? or should I save the rerolls for some other peice of gear. I am not swiming in crafting materials right now so I have come to you guys for advice.
Haven't had a chance to watch thew video yet, but wondering, is a Holy Shotgun build relevant without a FotF or is it mandatory to make the build useful
Well, I think Shotgun build is only then really useful, when you get ALL the items you need for it.
But Fate of the Fell is definitely the most important item, since it IS the shotgun. Right now 1 of my beams does 50mill crits. With FotF I suddenly do 3x50m for the same resource cost.
I dont know I just got a Fate to drop and converted to holy shotgun. It jumped me from T2 to T3 If I could get some Akahan or A Royal Ring I would be moving up faster sure but to make it a useful build all you really need is some cooldown/wrath regen and the right build with the FotF to start and it makes a BIG difference.
I am sure once you get all the required gear you can be doing T6 easy but speaking as someone who does not have a lot of time to play but enjoys it when I do the FotF is mandatory to the build but once you have it.... you can feel the difference.
Honestly Ace you aren't far off of where I was when I was soloing T2 I can do T3 now and T2 is a breeze but I needed Item drops. At your point you should be able to do T2 solo if you cant try to increase defensive stats as well since my damage and your is almost aligned. Try to get some of the sets I am wearing and you are already on your way to akahan. Perhaps you can upgrade your Rubies if you have the gold. That will boot you a lot.
Wasn't 2.0 loot out on console versions way before it was patched into pc version?
Sort of? It was more of a loot 1.5 or loot 2.0 beta. It had some but not all of the changes as well as the increased drop chance. So I guess I expect something along those lines. Not 2.1 but something almost there.
it wont take 3months if the console version is at august im guessing mid august max the 2.1 is out
Are you assuming that seasons/season legs hellfire amulet / greater rifts / redone legendaries are going to be in the new console version and or at least patched in on release day? Otherwise I don't think it matters when the console version comes out.
Hi, I have to push this one guys build. I used http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/crusader-the-church-of-zakarum/89421-deadsets-guide-collection?comment=2 a variation on that one, until I had a few good drops and was able to start my way into holy shotgun. The problem is a lot of the builds people are talking about are for end game when you have most of Akahan or have royal rings. This starts you off nice until you start getting Akahan and other important items to complement your build. But start there and tweak as you see fit as your item drops allow. In fact check out that guys entire thread he has lots of great builds through the entire development cycle of a Crusader. And Happy Demon Hunting!
Can anyone help me with advice on where to go from here? Gambling pieces to replace. Currently I am trying to get a RRoG but until then any other advice? I am not against using other skills and such as well. I also have a sankis that is decent and plans for that 2 handed fire axe, No Captian Crimsons or Armor of Akhan yet.
So I need some advice. I have no real Idea what I am doing though now that I finally got a leg crusader weapon (sadly not the one I wanted... I was running a Blessed shield before and was hoping for grifalcone) I figured I would try a hammers build to see if I can break out of T1 and into T2. I still seem to be getting killed though from bad combos. Any advice would be great; also I am aiming to switch up my weapon into a slot I just have not been lucky enough for that to happen yet.
Honestly I am really torn. I love the idea of ladders as a fun bit of competition between my friends and I (none of us play enough what with work and family to dream about competing on any other level) I actually like ladder only items with the caviot that they can drop in non-ladder after the season is over. Bagstone brought up the feeling of being left behind... but honestly I have felt that from the beginning how can I compete (stay geared as this is pre seasons) when I have a family a job with over 40 hours a week involved etc. I can't I will never catch up to the people who play all they time, so to me yea I hate the idea of falling further behind but really who do they cater to? The people like me who barely play? Or the people who have wanted this for years now and play totals of over 1000+ hours and are geared up and cant wait for more? I mean I wish this was moddable like in Torchlight 2. I played that with friends with a mod to increase drop rates so that we were geared out in about 5 months of 1-3 hours every few days of playing. I would never be able to experience a full gear out in D3 and thats slightly disappointing especially with all the neat builds and stuiff that require particular legs. But I should not hold back people who have the time. Like I said I am torn.
Picture a line. On one end of the line you have free loot. On the other end you have an impossible grind. If the game is at the first extreme you gear up instantly, get bored, and move on. If it is at the other, you get frustrated or bored and quit. Blizzard is looking for a sweet spot that is very difficult to pin down. Fun is somewhere on the spectrum, it's just about figuring it out with trial and error.
Don't forget that that point of fun is different for everyone. For somone who has the ability to play games for long hours every day, a streamer a super hard core fan etc they want a game that lasts forever because they feel rewarded for their long play. Average fans who like myself are playing regularly but have life obligations that only allow us to play 3 hours a day want more obviously as we have less time to play and want to at least see some full sets for each class in our time even if it isnt best in slot or perfect rolled. And there is the casual gamer who will play this for a few weeks months top who wants to see all the game has to offer even if it he cant have EVERYTHING they will prob have a few classes but not all and maybe want a set or two. They most likely wont get past T1 or T2. And each play style is valid and reasonable for what THEY deem as fun and worth the time. Not to mention all the points of plyastyles between the ones I mentioned. That makes a game like this REALLY hard to play around. Do they favor the hardcore who will be here forever even if it gets old? do they favor the people who will buy the game initially then give it up? we aren't charged for content updates or anything just expansions so all that work the devs do need a reason. It must be insane to balance that in todays market.
