@Hpnot1Q Wish I could have afforded SSDs for my laptop. Speed, battery life. What's not to love? I do have a RAID 0 array in my laptop, with conventional disks. Yay! More weight and 2 more electric motors to drain my battery. I'm a little jealous now.
Mary me !
I'm not single, but if I were SSDs would be the right kind of swag to get my attention.

One more post before lunch, then I'll shut up and quit hijacking this thread. Back on Lt. Venom's resident evil stuff.
I can't believe I didn't recognize the characters! I've not followed the series in a while though. I didn't even know Jill was supposedly dead. Glad she's not though.
What i see swag as is: The way you talk, dont bite your tounge, be smooth, but not creepy, balance!
Compliment her, but not 2 much as it gets slimy! Dress 2 impress, dont walk around like a hobo, especialy not when you can afford decent look. Im thinkin, D&G shirt, armani jeans, you get the point, but dont go around aand overkill it with 2 much jewlery, as a matter of fact, just 1 piece of jewlery or nothing at al. Sunny outside ? Wear sunglasses that fit u, dont wear sunglasses indoors, or @ clubs, and make a dick of yourself.
lets see what els: Smile, make eye contact etc etc, its al about balance.
There is more but i cba 2 wright it all -.-
That mostly sounds good. I think the most important thing is to be genuine. If a guy is putting on a "nice guy" act, eventually you can always tell it seems forcced, or they'll carry it too far and say or do something completely unrealistic. I'm naturally cynical, so as soon as I detect that at least some part of someone's personality is an act, I consider that most of it probably is. And I assume the act is covering (hmm... censoring...) jerk... type tendencies.
The kind of girl swag works on I wouldn't recommend anyone touching them. (I assume you're using swag as in the meaning of fancy/expensive stuff)
Just checked apparently swag now means "the way you carry yourself" basically. I thought that was swagger. Anyways you're likely to get something you can't clean off with bleach.
Yep, if someone is that easily impressed, you should probably question their motivation and history. More cynicism from me. LOL!
@freddybenson - LOL! You can't fool me. You seem intelligent, polite, and articulate. This guy didn't use many three sylable words, and you just used Frederick and Monoco both in one sentence.
LOL! Reminds me of a dude I met at a hotel bar last weekend. He ketp trying to make eye contact all night, and I kept looking away. Thought I was being pretty clear. He tried to chat me up anyway, and I kept my answers short, polite, and dismissive. Then I went to the restroom and some of my friends there with me said he was lurking around outside the restroom waiting for me and they ran him off.
About 30 minutes later he asked me to meet him outside. Since it was pretty obvious "No" didn't mean no to him, I decided on another tactic. I just gave him a big smile like it was the best thing that had happened to me all night, and told him okay. As soon as he hit the outside door, I hit my hotel room.
Haha yeah Jacob Zuma, he's a retard...and he's our president atm...he tried to "shower" the aids away...rofl! But he hasn't done any retarded stuff thus far!
Have you been up to Table Mountain on the cable car? It's awesome. O and Table Mountain has recently become one of the 7 new wonders of nature!!
I spent a lot of time in sight of Table Mountain, but I never got time to take the cable car up. The one day I planned to, it seems like it ended up being foggy. I bet it is an amazing view. Your campus looks nice too!
And I remember Zuma and the shower part of the story now. Ha!
Nice Pics, looks lovely there. I still rather not go to any continent that’s unstable unless the flight path does not cross any of "chaos" then I'd consider it.
Whe I went, I took British Airways. Chicago to London. Then London to Cape Town. Seems like I was mostly over the ocean between London and Cape Town except toward the very end. The route would probably be similar from Canada.
I noticed your demon hunter thread. I think you may be confused.
Here's a succubus:
Don't know what their queen looks like but I suppose you can use creativity to fill the gap.
You're welcome.
I've been a succubus a lot longer than I've been an insane office demon hunter. That was just a goofy moment. If you ask any of my friends whether I'm best represented by a demon, or a demon hunter, they'll say demon.
Thanks! I tend to feel like I'm rambling and annoying (not here particularly but anywhere), so it's nice to know not everyone thinks so. I try to limit my posts but there's some things I can go on and on about and South Africa is one of them.
The lifestyle of whites in RSA is very unified, we are heavily outnumbered and we know it. It's a whole other mindset than in the US. It's not even considered being racist if you imply that anything criminal-like was done by non-whites...check the stats in my above-mentioned post. You just had to have lived here to know what I mean.
It definitely seemed that way visiting. Especially the outnumbered part. When I was there, the vice president was involved in some kind of AIDS scandal, and it seems like he didn't believe AIDS was sexually transmitted, and that it was invented by Europeans to wipe out african natives or some such. Being of European descent, and being surrounded by that kind of paranoia and mistrust would be kind of hard.
On the crime thing, I was being a bit naive at the time I went walking around at night. Most of the houses in the neighborhood had 8 foot high walls surrounding the properties, and I think I saw at least one home with razor wire around the top of the wall. I guess I should have seen that and realized walking around at night was a stupid idea. I come from one of those rural American areas where doors traditionally aren't even locked at night though, so I wasn't used to worrying about things like that. That was a few years ago. Now my community has theiving meth heads and you have to take security seriously.
Seriously think you are lucky, living in that part of the world though. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Especially at night. Mountains against the night sky. City lights filling the valleys and reflecting in the ocean. Just breathtaking. I remember one night, we had steak at this open fronted restaurant just barely off the beach. Can't remember what that part of town was called, but there were steep mountains barely off the beach, so all the streets were terraced up the side of the mountain. Seemed like such a neat, artsy community.
Not to complain or anything, well yes I'm gonna complain...on my very first day of class in my new flat with my roommate was broken into on Monday morning while being at class!! It's kinda fucked up, not really the crime itself (South Africa has one of the highest crime rates in the world: http://www.nationmas...frica/cri-crime), but the time they did. It was between 10h - 13h in broad daylight...on the second floor of the complex! Luckily my computer was spared. However my pc mouse, external and 90% of my clothes were stolen.
Awful that happened. I have heard that about crime in South Africa. I used to visit a friend in Cape Town sometimes, and one night I woke up in middle of the night and decided to just walk around the block. When I got back she freaked out and told me I should never go walking around after dark. It was a really affluent looking suburb though! That said, it was a gorgeous city.
Oh, this is the random chat thread, so I'm telling this story. When I was in Cape Town, I spent a few nights house sitting for someone. Only they srt of didn't know it. A friend of mine was house sitting for them, and I needed a place to stay a few days, so she let me and another friend house sit in her place, but the original owners didn't know about the change of plans and had never met me.
The first day I was there, I didn't know if the giant german shepherds at this house should be outside or inside during the AM, so I left them in while I went to find breakfast. Got back and had a cell phone conversation outside the front door. The dogs heard me, came to the door, which set off the motion alarm.
So 30 minutes later ADT shows up to check out the alarm. These guys looked like mercenaries or something. They were in big bullet proof vests and stuff. And here I am at this ritzy looking house. I had to look so out of place. Was wearing beat up comfy clothes, and warn out from traveling. I couldn't have looked more out of place. If they had contacted the owner and said there was a 5'11" homeless looking chick with a southern US accent, I probably would have ended up in jail or something. So I was petting on the dogs, calling them by name, and I let the guys in at the side gate. Since I had the passcode for the gate and seemed at ease with the dogs ,they didn't ask too many questions.
Hey, random means random to me. South Africa WAS mentioned! LOL!

People say I hear those lyrics wrong....
I can't believe I didn't recognize the characters! I've not followed the series in a while though. I didn't even know Jill was supposedly dead. Glad she's not though.
Off to Subway. Ha!

@Lt. Venom That is one dark looking game.

Wonder how long he waited in the cold?
Loving the randomness here, by the way. LOL

Love the succubus pic you chose though.

I should really shut up! LOL!

Don't forget rhubarb pie! My personal favorite.
