...and not a single release date was given that day.
And since they gave us no inkling or promise of a release date of any kind for anything, there is no reason for anyone to be angry at them. Especially with how much information they give. The panels were really too short. Jay was rushing to get it all out.
I just assumed that for Blizzard's own convention, it would be more than a class reveal and the "reveal" of PVP arenas.
Oh well, that's what you get when you assume (or set reasonable expectations).

Simply economics, people. The supply of great items will become limitless, and this mechanism tries to artificially alter the supply of great items in the game (along with gold actually meaning something)
This basically means if you find a kickass item, you are going to use it, so you would effectively have to find that kickass item twice in order to trade it.
But, he is only talking about super end-game items, which is fine IMO.
Oh I love the idea, of course, don't get me wrong. I'm just interested to hear a bit more about the mechanics.
But...getting to play a beta would be even better...

For those of you who couldn't read Jaycub's post above, here it is reposted and edited for understanding: Why does anyone cut their hair? He probably just wanted some nutritious hair-meat! "Behold The Hair of God: God beheld the hair, and saw that it was good. Then he made it tasty and ate that shit all up! BOOYAH!"
P.S I'm known for spurts of poor spelling and grammar.
You're welcome.

It will add some welcome depth to the gameplay, as well as give you something to work at other than the mindless grind of boss runs.

I know, I only wish it was just a bit more clear about what your options were once it was bound to you, even if it was only the current iteration.

Usually different skins means a different rarity or class of monster (regular, champion, elite, etc.), not the difficulty you're playing in.
