Yeah i think you're right. any min/max dmg, dmg %, IAS or Elemental damage on a wep is factored into its overall DPS. Dex and crit chance/crit damage I believe are not so tha'ts what I tend to look for.
KSS keep it simple stupid. I know many people just call that dumbing it down however I feel that it was probably what was needed. 3000 rune variants, and how rare a level 7 rune was going to be is just absurd. There needs to be a grind for gear however there does also need to be a limit. I really liked their 1st system, I hated their 2nd system so this is probably a good middle man.
Hopefully were now in the polishing stage full time and we cant start to see signs of release. rock on.
Impale used to be cool. Fire a massive arrow that smashes people for 275% weapon damage! HUGE!
now you just throw some knives at people, and it does the same dmg. sure its a visual effect however i still have a problem with it. just seems so underwhelming. Jay talks about barbs being able to throw people around and send corpses flying which is awesome, i just feel the demon hunters impale still is so lacklustre. if you ask me it should be a huge bolt that stick in people you shoot. that would be cool. any1 else?
It will never be balanced. Balancing PvP and PvE is impossible and its the reason why WoW can't be balanced after 6 years.
It can be however the work involved is huge. balancing 2v2 is so hard so blizzard chose to ignore it and focus on 3v3 as being the most balanced arena size. Battlegrounds have always been balanced (cept for shamans in vanilla ;))
I would like to see the full balance of the game, especially pvp. After all, PvP component of the most interestingpart of the game and I hope that Blizzard will create something fantastic. I would like to spend hours in amassive pvp battles.
Unfortunately I don't see that happening ever. Blizzard have already come out and declared that their focus is not to balance pvp, but to create a fun alternative to pve from time to time.
I thought spells had 2 "Groups" lets say, one for PvE and one for PVP so they could balance each without effecting the other one.
I'm really in to PvP so after I have completed the game that is the route I will be heading, so hopefully both PvE and PvP will be balanced as best as they can.
Yes I can't remember the name Jay used but there is the capacity to do that. They use it for cc abilities and such, mainly to reduce the time people are stuck in a cc affect or slowed. Blizzard however seem to be pretty adamant that they will not spend as much time focusing on the pvp balance as opposed to the fun in PVE. if a move throws a huge fireball that blows everyone away and takes off half their health, they probably don't what to chance that for pvp either because people will find it a fun concept and idea.
For me its probably 2v2. It's just so easy to organise games with just 1 other mate. 3v3 has always been the most enjoyable for me, in wow at least. 2v2 imbalances in wow were viral however they don't plan on focusing on pvp balance. I don't see why they can't add the mode and i wouldn't be surprised if it was patched in at a later date(or in the expansion).
gotta be honest I prefer the old one. The old one felt much more like diablo. Its far to clean. Diablo is Gothic. bring back gothic :). otherwise the layout is easier just makes the ads stick out like dogs balls.
