So last Friday when the PTR first came up, I copied my characters and played for about an hour. Over the weekend I bought a few things that I wanted to test out in the PTR when it came back up. However, my characters on the PTR are still the same as I left them last Friday, and clicking on the copy button again results in error 395000. Does anyone know how to get around this, or how to sync up my characters?
I can't find the exact quote, but Bashiok's post didn't come across as a joke to me. He said something like: "Everyone direct feedback to X (guy who was qqing) he knows about stuff. In all seriousness though, we're looking into Revenge ...".
I think it has to do with not wanting certain skills to be mandatory and revenge is in pretty much any build I've ever seen.
I agree revenge is pretty much a must have skill for inferno, but in this case i think the answer would be buffing other skills, not nerfing revenge. SS and Force armor, for example, were FAR more powerful than revenge is.
I believe it was related to a bug I inflicted on myself this morning.
When I got in, I was one of the first ones, but I was stuck at character creation. I enter-spammed for about 15 minutes and when I got in, there were 7 of my character at level 1 with the same name. That is obviously impossible and breaks their name creation rules (duplicate names are not allowed within one account). However, I didn't notice this until I logged out at level 13. When I deleted the extra ones and logged back in, I lost all my achievements on my main. I've gained them mostly back with time, and I was only level 13 so it isn't really a big deal.
FYI that is not true. There is no such thing as a unique name in D3. You can name every single one of your characters Bob with no problems, and so could I.
Note that it's no longer +x% to resists like it was in D2, but +x to resists. So It's +162-180 resists, which will give you a % resistance based on a formula. It is not a flat 162% - 180% resist.
I'm getting the failure to stream too. Also says I need to activate it (enter in the CD key) which I won't have til midnight Seems we really can't be ahead of the game, unless you digitally preordered it.

But just so you know, all set items are lvl 60 req, so I wouldn't expect to see any for a while

Well if you actually watch the cinematics and listen to all the lore, which is the real story, it will be far, far longer. So I think it'll be ok
Yeah, once you are inferno geared and run through normal again...
You aren't going to complete each act in under an hour on your first run through...
And if you consider "completing the game" to be beating all 4 acts once, then Diablo is clearly not for you.
