Wow.. Well I'm happy that your faith = restored (or maybe not so much anymore), but mine remains shattered.
Anyway, cba with this anymore, carecup = full / empty or w/e you wanna call it.. baiii enjoy the dex..
OP, you have to understand that the reason a lot of people are starting to jump into hate mode is because this forum has had a lot of loot cry babies since the AH was removed. In your case, you just didn't know about the detail of the loot system, which is understandable and doesn't really warrant the haterade. However, so many of the loot whiners have been playing for a while and have become more vocal on the forums, so a lot of members have started reacting by slamming people before they try to understand the OP reasoning.
The forum users need to be better at judging intent before responding AND get better at creating constructive threads instead of whining.
Don't give up on DFans, just guide the conversations to make them better.
It's not just the "loot cry babies", a trend I've seen across alot of the games I've played over the years is that people simply don't bother to research or even read updates themselves and then take it to the forums, which results in threads like this. You might call it ignorance or w/e from our side, but it gets so tedious seeing post upon post about topics the OP could've easily found out themselves if they cared to try.
Also what wowaccounttom said.
Sort of OT, but I see alot of you high gear ppl stacking Physical dmg instead of fire, is that because it yields more damage or was it simply how the item rolled originally / first reroll you got betewen phys / fire ?
Earlier today I decided to lvl my WD to 70, so I got my friend to help me. In hindsight I probably should've taken my time and just lvl'd by myself, because before that I had played my WD for like 5 hrs. My WD knowledge is therefor very limited and I've been thinking about some things regarding the pet doctor.
First, I come from maining a barb and Thunderfury has been something I wanted on him for quite some time and I'm wondering how that weapon works on WDs in general, not just the pet spec.
Second, I was lucky and picked up a Mask of Jeram on my 5th helm gamble, which made me go the pet route (now looking for Tasker and Theo gloves). This got me thinking about the Zunimasa set which makes fetish army perm until death vs. Starmetal Kukri. I should note that I have neither, not even a piece of Zunis, but I'm trying to figure out what to aim for and to me it seems that Starmetal Kukri and Zuni kinda cancel eachother out and that I should maybe try for a Gidbinn + Zuni or Starmetal and no Zuni. I'm most likely wrong, but if someone who's using a pet build / has exp with it could explain that would be extremely helpful.
Unless you get 100% perfect rolls on your items you should really use the mystic to enchant all your gear.
I took a quick look and here's what I would do:
Bonesaber:
Remove LoH and get a socket to put a green gem into.
Boots:
Remove LpS and get 10-12% movementspeed
Legs:
Try find new legs with 4 primary stats (str, vit, 2 sockets, all res) OR remove LpS and try get 2 sockets.
Rings:
On rings you want str, 6% crit chance, 50% crit damage and either vit / attack speed
Bracers:
Change LpS into vit
Helm:
Get a new one with 4 primary stats. A socket is useful if you need more toughness (put a purple gem into it) or get +% dmg to a skill you use.
Shoulders:
You don't seem to be using Rend at the moment, so change +% rend damage into %life for more toughness.
Glovse:
Change resource reduction into 10% crit chance.
Belt:
You also don't seem to be using Bash atm, so change +% Bash damage into either +% dmg in a skill you use or another stat for more toughness.
Chest:
Change the 1 socket into 3 sockets.
I also see you have +10% lightning damage on your bracers that you aren't using either. You can swap runes on your skills to make them do lightning damage and thus boosting that damage further since you have that increased % lightning damage.
If you want to go down that road (+% lightning damage), try look for items with +% lightning damage. You can get this from various Legendaries and it also rolls on rare bracers (like the ones you have) and rare amulets.
I've been looking at alot of armories from different posts today and I've found quite a few builds I'd want to try. This got me thinking if there was a website / tool that could be used to build your builds (heh). I'm not really interested in skills setup, blizz has their own feature for that, but I'm mostly thinking about a way to add items to a char sheet or something and save that gear setup. I could write it down, but if there was a tool online and maybe with visuals like how the char screen is ingame that would be a bit more fun
Hi, thanks for the comment, glad you're thinking about giving this a try!
The build is not weapon dependent! Feel free to use any bow type, whatever you find with the best dps basically. The Archery passive will just benefit you slightly differently depending on weapon type.
Thanks for the reply, I've started running around blowing stuff to pieces and it's quite fun ;D
I'm wondering though, I rolled phys dmg on those bracers you recommended, but noticed that cluster arrow does fire dmg first and then phys dmg with the rockets. And since HA also does fire dmg I'm just curious if phys really is that much better than fire dmg? It seems a bit weird to me, but then again I've no idea about DHs, so it could just be me :x
I've more or less been playing my wiz since ros came out and I haven't touched my DH since around the beginning of D3, so I'm totally lost when it comes to stats and builds. I've looked at a few builds on this forum, but most aren't very specific about weapons and if 2hs or 1hs are prefered. Maybe it's a nobrainer, but as I said, I don't know anything :x
I found this 1h xbow and I want to reroll a socket, but I don't know wether to reroll the IAS or &dmg, so if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
Lastly, does builds depend alot on your weapon choice? Should I look for another 1h xbow or get a quiver? Anyone got any suggestions or recommendations on what builds are good with dual wielding? Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated!

Take a look a this guide, try it out and if it seems like something you'd enjoy you can follow the gearing / skill tips and discussion.
