Hold CTRL for the original tooltip is better imo.
The purple numbers already give away that you have something modifying the original values and how often are you going to care about the original values rather than the true one? By default the tooltips should always be showing their true value, changing the numbers to as it is in the pic when modified (from green to purple).
Quote fromgutpik»from what i understand tooltips on skills are just "image" with fixed text, so to change it blizz will be forced to write scripts that gonna change how frames work, and then another scripts that gonna show actual stats\changes. But knowing Blizz - we not gonna see that implemented. Also there will be much more changes, if you remember that lots of healing skills now heal for X+healing potion % bonus
That would be some really sorry coding imo. In high school programming you learn to avoid "static" variables in the GUI. Like it's that big of a deal for the buttons to show a different value client side when the server says there's a change. Just replace flat value with the variables for the skills that are clearly there. I swear not being able to mod the UI is really irritating sometimes. The community would have already taken care of this by reading your stats and displaying custom images with floating text over the tooltips when displayed if Blizzard really programmed tooltips to just be stupid images.
You don't hear people bitch when people say "Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father." or "Soylent Green is people." for example. At some point something is too old where spoilers shouldn't matter. Your friend lives in under a rock if he hasn't already heard that Leah becomes Diablo (and really does it matter? the story is fucking horrible). The statute of limitations is long gone.
If I had a friend who wanted to play or watch something that was already old, and didn't want (and somehow didn't already know) spoilers, I wouldn't say anything. But to be on the internet reading articles about said media when it's long since released, you shouldn't expect spoiler tags for ancient content. And I would tell my friend he's a moron if he goes on to read sites about the content he's watching/playing/reading before finishing it.
For the best selling PC game ever they lost like 90% of their players if there really is only 1 million people left playing per day
"Lost" is not how a non-subscription game would consider these happenings. If anything more players make a heavier load on the servers. The servers that no one pays for. Yet Blizzards keeps on patching the game, bringing players back.
But even if we look at it your way, 3 million players monthly makes Diablo 3 the highest populated game after WoW.
League of Legends
Also GW3 gets lots of content and I didn't see a plethora of bitching about how bad it was.
Blizzard will never call out the exploiters publicly. It opens an easy lawsuit to sue Blizzard. If Blizzard calls someone out and that player proves they were not exploiting, that player can sue the hell out of Blizzard for libel or slander.
Blizzard's more likely to have evidence since they know more about what's going on than the player.
So is this the famous LOOT upgrade patch ?? ..or is that still being worked on? PVP ever come out?
no and sort of.
They didn't say which patch will have the loot improvements (legendaries that are the same level as monsters that dropped them). For now its just 4 player FFA screwing around pvp with no death in HC.
The PVP patch was always set to be 1.1.0. My prediction for that patch is a bunch of people returning, getting rocked in obsolete gear, then spending the next 6 months complaining about how gear shouldn't matter in pvp instead of farming new gear, then quitting the game but sticking around on the forums and fan sites to complain about the game.
Getting rocked by who? I bet more people will be returning than are still playing the game.
It's spelled Defense. This is an American made game. They're not going to spell it your way.
