I'm kind of split on the whole "Torment" thing. There really isn't enough information right now to make any conclusions, but working on the assumption that it is in fact a new format for difficulty modes and not just a new name related to MP, my gut reaction is "ugh". Normal > Nightmare > Hell is a Diablo tradition and I'd hate to see that go away. Still, if it improves the game flow or whatever, then I guess I can't complain.
I agree, I'd hate to see that tradition and familiarity disappear, and I can't tell if they're going to add an additional difficulty. Blizzcon is only a month away so we'll definitely know then!
Where did they say that Inferno might not still be around? I can't remember reading that anywhere, source?
My thoughts are that they might have us play through Act V on each difficulty to "complete" the difficulty to advance further on or the could just plop us down in Act V inferno.
I was curious as to what difficulty we'll have to start in for Act V. Will we have to play through Normal Act V and progress regularly or will we be able to jump straight into Inferno Act V? Which way do you want or see it going?
as mention above u will need de but with 1 extra thing so u cant right away craft or enchant like x1000
I'm curious if only act 5 will drop the new mats and you'd have to do acts 1-4 for the old mats. They could also make it so that any act will drop both the old and new mats.
Either way current mats will not be useless. They just won't be worth hoarding now unless they do decide to make them only drop in acts 1-4 while only being able to get new mats in act 5.
I do have a hard time believing they would do anything that would force people to a specific act though, even if it was the "new" one.
Having Act V be the only source of new materials would discourage players from visiting other acts, something Blizzard doesn't want to do. It's also something they addressed with Inferno. My thoughts are we'll see Exquisite Essence and Iridescent Tears moved into Hell Acts III - V.
They should limit trading to legendary items. With smart drops and less but much better rares and the mystic's option to improve items, the likelihood you'll ever care about trading for rares will be very slim. This way, you can forget all the random parameters, put your item up for trade and then list a handful of specific legendary items (or gold) you're willing to trade for that. Especially now that many of the new legendary items will become the backbone of certain builds. D2 trading was basically all about end game uniques anyway, outside of maybe some circlets/ammys.
Trading should be as rudimentary as possible. No parameter searches. No fine tuning the exact item you want. The mystic already serves this purpose. Being able to just get exactly what you need is bad for the loot hunt, but for an end-game min-max player who absolutely must have a certain legendary, I think this would be enough.
p.s. I don't think anyone will like this idea, but oh well
Limiting trade to just legendary items doesn't make sense at all. What about gold, crafting items, tomes, gems?
As for a trading system, it's going to be difficult for them to implement something that has the ease of use and efficiency of the auction house. If they implement anything at all I'd hope for something like EVE's contract system. You say you're looking for a specific item / parameters, a seller contacts you and negotiations begin.
I still play with my girlfriend and we do a lot of Key Warden runs. We also leveled each class to 60 and our next goal is to have our main character P100.
This, this is awesome:
Vengeance Is Mine Vengeance Is Mine
desc : Cooldown: 90 seconds / Turn into the physical embodiment of Vengeance for 15 seconds. / *Side Guns: Whenever you activate a skill, you gain 2 additional shots to the left and right for 100% weapon damage. / *Homing Rockets: Rockets shoot automatically at nearby enemies for 75% weapon damage.
Rune A : This rune is not yet designed. E-mail John Yang with your ideas.
Training Drone : A mechanical contraption orbits you, dealing 150% weapon damage per second to enemies around you.
Personal Mortar : Launch grenades at random enemies outside melee range for 200% weapon damage.
Stimulants : Heal for 10% of maximum life each second.
Its awesome if you can handle 90 second cool downs. :/
Cooldown reduction will help alleviate that thankfully
I missed the reduced cooldown. Where is that exactly?
I like what Droth, Tias, and Nubtro have to say and it's a lot of feedback the devs need, one can only hope that it does come to their attention.

Last I checked mobs run around, especially this one.
