I would give you an ETA if I could, but I will not risk the wrath of the community and having my soul cursed into the afterlife if any ETA I provided turns out not to be accurate :-)
To be more serious though, I cannot give you an ETA yet because the release date we are aiming for is still set as tentative.
"Not much longer now" == "Soon" ?
Hmm... Soon doesn't quite cut it. I would rather say it's sooner than soon, but maybe not soon enough ;-)
To AH or Not to AH
Different players like different play styles. Here's what Grimiku thinks about using the Auction House.
This thread does a really good job of articulating the difference between two popular approaches to playing Diablo III. Some players want to find their own gear and some players just want to streamline their way to maximum efficiency. There are a lot of players in-between as well. Each are completely valid play styles that happen to provide different benefits to different people. (Personally, I like to keep my Auction House use to a minimum in general, but I am willing to spend some gold if one of my items really needs adjustment.)
We know that players would like to have more options when it comes to self-found gear, and we've already begun implementing changes (as seen with the new crafted items and Marquise gem tier in 1.0.7) to help make that more of a reality. Ensuring that players have reasonable routes towards their in-game goals, be it efficiency or just playing at your pace with your own gear, is definitely a goal for the design team and one of things we're working to improve on.
For those of you who enjoy or prefer growing your characters without the assistance of the Auction House, how do you feel about crafted items? In your opinion, does crafting with your own materials count as a "self-found item," or do you think that's something that really only applies to item drops?
Adding Sockets Not Likely To Come Soon
Adding sockets is now confirmed to be a "long term design goal" if implemented at all.
I know adding sockets to items is a game feature that a lot of players want, and I don’t want to sound dismissive to that feedback, but I was really was hoping that the reason you wanted to loot a drill was so you could theme your character after an angry dentist. Like a melee Wizard named DrNoNovacain.
In regards to adding sockets to items, I would like to say that it's still on the table for consideration and certainly something we'd like to add, but it would be a long term design goal if it were to be implemented at all.
Angels Will Never Be a Playable Class
The lore dictates Nephalem should always come first.
Archangel and Deathangel classes wouldn't really fit with the lore, simply because they are not Nephalem. The Nephalem are the offspring of angels and demons, and within them is the combined essence(or spirit if you will) of both angels and demons, which is what is giving the Nephalem the potential to be even greater than both.
but what if an angel wants to become human like tyrael wanted and he still has some angelic powers
An angel may become human as was learned when Tyrael renounced his immortality and was cast from the high heavens, but even if angelic powers are retained after an angel become human, this will still not be enough as those powers are still "only" angelic.
On Crafting
One of the great things about crafting is the multiple functions it can serve. A healthy resource sink at this point in the game’s life cycle seems like it would be a good thing, and the 1.0.7 bind-on-account crafting recipes and gems should help in that regard. The crafting recipes also provide you the chance to roll a best-in-slot item that you can't buy or sell on the Auction House (something which players have been asking for), and the Marquise gem of course will be the highest tier available in the game.
As time goes on and the game changes, it is likely crafting will as well. We feel that bind-on-account items are the right thing for the game at this moment, but of course we want to keep adapting with the community and the economy as they evolve. In the meantime, and as always, it would be great to hear your ideas about crafting, and we encourage you to keep talking about what you'd like to see out of the system. (Official Forums)
Project Blackstone Code Cracked
The secret Project Blackstone we mentioned some time ago got a promotional site with a password, which was cracked in no time by Reddit user killainstnct. The project is undoubtedly StarCraft II related. No further information available.

If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
For me crafted item does not count as "self-found item". I definitely prefer to find item on my own from monster which I kill. Because I wont to kill monsters not only for EXP. I wont to fight monster and in fight I wont to be curious what this monster can drop. Now drop chances are so low that this “curious” has no sense.
A crafted item is simply a combination of parts dropped from monsters. You basically got 1/x of a drop when you get crafting components from a monster.
Angels Will Never Be a Playable Class

No sarcasm or snide attitude intended: I really do like that the Diablo series is one of the few places where Angels exist and aren't superior to a being found on a habitable planet.
Project Blackstone huh? I wouldn't be surprised if its something diablo related. This sounds pretty farfetched but it could be something about the black soulstone, the whereabouts of it as it fell from heaven. Yeah they just put a Starcraft thing symbol on it to throw everyone off. Now to go shape some more tinfoil hats. I only think this because well...think about it, why would they do something secret and that's Starcraft related when they've got an expansion coming out in a few weeks. Starcraft is fantastic but let's face it, the story (as awesome as it is) isn't what keeps the game alive, it's the multiplayer. Maybe it's a multiplayer thing, who knows! Maybe it's the so called "Titan" project! Maybe it's a remake of the absolutely amazingly brain exploding game Blackthorne. Time will tell! Time will most certainly tell!
Thanks for listening to me rabble.

It's on the SC2 Bnet part of the site. It's in the URL. Also Terran logo, Zerg concepts, Mengsk.

If you enter text into the authentication box on Project Blackstone and hit enter, you also get a message about the Dominion viewing incorrect log in attempts as hostile and any further tries will result in a response.
Definitely world of Starcraft.

One step at a time, crafting definitely needed work and it is one way to get your own gear. Hopefully in the future they'll recognize the need for dropped loot to be better suited to your own character.
Looks like we might see 1.0.7 as soon as Tuesday!
