Hey guys, so I am on my way in completing Inferno solo with my Monk. However, Ghom seems to be my brick wall. Up until him, I have been able to take down almost everything else with little problems. But I can't even get close with him.
Right now, I have 1600 LoH and 1100 Resist. But his gas just drains me faster than I can heal. I run around kiting him but the gas ends up filling the whole room and I can't avoid it.

(rolling with this gear but swapped out resist gear and higher LoH to see if it helped against Ghom. Even the boost only did very little in my survivability)
Was hoping to get some advice on how to drop this guy so I can go on defeating Inferno. Otherwise, I might look for someone to help with this quest and move on for now.

With your stats you can kill him extremely easy, i killed him pre nerf with like 15k dps, 600 res, its all about how to kite, my 2 cents are :
1) watch a video on how to kite ghom so you don't get the room filled with gas
2) change ur way of hundred fists rune to windforce so you can attack from range
3) make use of serenity to have more dps time while standing in his gas (pop blind and mantra with it)
If you decide to get help just shoot me an invite in game if I'm on. I'm a barb, so I laugh at ghom while standing in his gaseous clouds, never moving. Otherwise... I know diddly squat about monks, so...
Make sure you stand just outside of the gas cloud he makes so you can keep them as close together as possible. I found if you enter his area and move back all the way to the gate when the encounter starts and let him come to you it's easier. He will make it about half way to you then cast his first cloud, move to the right of that cloud and be near the wall,he will now get to you and you can hit him a couple times before the next cloud.
When he casts the next cloud continue to move to the right, dps him and his adds as needed to keep buffs up. Continue moving around the room in the same direction and dpsing him and his adds as you need to,if your 75% life or more and he casts a cloud on you wait till your low on health and pop your immunity and dps him a little while longer while standing in his cloud and then move out.
Also if you time his clouds correctly right when he starts to shake you can blind him and reset him and he won't cast another cloud for a little bit. This makes it so the room won't fill up as quickly.
Thanks for the advice guys. Just downed him on my first attempt since getting your help. Kited him around the room starting in a corner and just made my way around the room with each cloud.
