Dovu and wyrdwans is a bad idea, because of the neft of crowd control effects, mobs won't be stunned for long time for sure.
lightning gem is complete trash, replace it with simplicity strength and pox faulds with depth diggers, you need some dmg to generator, you will hit with it all the time, it is the mains source of dmg in this build. not sweeping wind
and some simple calculations.
if our weapon dmg is x
so in you variation you will deal with you generator
x*2.3*14*1.3 = 41.86x dmg, where 2.3 is lightning multiplier(if all roll perfect 20 bracers, 20 amulet, 30 helm, 20 odyn son, 20 won kim lao, 15 belt), 14 i s LoN multiplier if all 13 items are ancient and 1.3 is additive dmg with 15% WotHF dmg rolled on belt and pants.
if you just replace odyn son with sunkeeper you will already have
x*2.1*14*1.3*1.3 = 49.69x dmg, with perfect sunkeeper you will have another 1.3 multiplier(30% to elites)
so replacing odyn to sunkeeper will give you like 16% pure dmg bonus))
with depth diggers and sunkeeper the number will be x*2.1*14*2.3*1.3 = 87.9x = MUCH HIGHER
BUT
if you run 6p inna + shenlongs + unity ring, the dmg will be
x*1.4*1.15*6*7.2*2*2*2 = 556x LOL
1.4 = fire elem on bracers and amulet
1.15 to elites on unite
6 is form +500% 6p innas
7.2 is additive dmg from mantra, fire ally, % skill dmg and the main 500+ form shenlongs 1st bonus(need to have like 345 spirit max)
2 is from second shenlong bonus
2 from set Endless walk
and 2 from 2p raiment set
just compare you this numbers, and have in mind, that you've missed flying dragon and 2p raiment +25% MULTIPLICATIVE attack speed = HUGE LOST.
even if you put CoE in cube, this *3 multiplier on 20% of the time can't overpass inna+shenlongs dmg)
that's why no one plays LoN with staff like that, you have amazing toughness for sure

0.35 from APD
0.48 from LoN
and 0.45 from Inner Sanctuary)

I think this spec can tank 100 lvl grift solo like easy, but the dmg is TOO LOW, it will be really hard to close 70+ with it, and people now closing 85-88 with inna.
if you like LoN, play with cold tempest rush or fire wave of light, they have both amazing dmg and interesting playstyles
My favorite build in D3 was the Sweeping Wind Cyclone Monk. I have fond memories of filling dungeon floors full of tornadoes.

Specifically has anybody tried Wyrdward and Dovu Energy Trap?
This would be primarily solo, pushing greater rifts if possible.
Any suggestions/concerns would be appreciated.
Ways to improve gear/build/gems/etc.
