Hi all, I'm constantly viewing the forum for new information, hoping that some new tid-bit of information will be released that will keep me going until the beta/release date. Alas I am usually left wanting, and I don't seem to even want to play another game. I pop on to SC2, WOW, even D2, but always seem to become un-interested with whatever I am playing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great game that will help to fill the gap?
Here's an incomplete list of games I played. Broaden your experience. Personally, I'm waiting for D3 and wanting it because I have little else: I played so many things already!
Thats PC only, by the way. I don't expect you to use the list, but I like copy-pasting a huge list.

After looking at your list, I say, for the most part, been there done that, I usually go back to a few staples, which always seem to be Blizz games. I did see Dues Ex on there and I have to agree, best FPS ever for PC. I have to see if I still have a copy. Worms armageddon was awwsome and If I could find a copy that played on windows xp, vista, or 7 I would spend hours killing other worms. Serious Sam is always a fave but it cant maintain my focus for more than a couple of levels. All great games thanks for the post, I think im looking for something more geared towards a similar lore/expierence as the Diablo series though.
Worms Reloaded is Worms Armagedon modernized and available on Steam for 20$. If you have people to play it with, (you can play up to 4 on 1 computer no problem, obviously), then get it, its not quite like the good old days, but its just as hilarious.
If you want something like Diablo, there's almost nothing, but there's a topic in General Discussion that asked about games like Diablo, and there was quite a few answers.

Thanks for the link to the other forum, It gives some ideas for stuff to look into. Worms reloaded won't allow you to play single player? No missions?
Oh, yeah of course. There's a relatively short campaign. You can make custom games and make any of the 4 players CPUs. And you can just play online, too.

"Except real money trading has always been present in Diablo 2. Except now it's going to be officially supported which will reduce scams, prevent the funding of the black market so your kids will no longer be exposed to dangerous life ruining drugs like the cancer causing marijuana."
I'm currently playing Borderlands. It's cheap and awesome.
That should hold me til Portal 2.
Then that should hold me til Duke Nukem Forever.
By then, the Diablo III beta should be out.
And then, I'll have no need for other games for about 10 years.
Im currently just SC2 ladder with friends, and the SC2 dota-style custom game SOTIS. Plus im sorta waiting for Guild Wars 2, my first mmo if i do get it.
I'm very much looking forward to Battlefield 3. The full in depth feature video comes out the 17th, in 2 days. If you like FPS, and or has playing one of the Battlefields and liked it be sure to keep an eye out for it. The Beta is starting soon, and the release is this fall.

I have the GOTY version of Borderlands on my desk right now when I type this reply. Haven't installed it yet, but I don't think I wasted my money (I happened to have some spare cash). By the screenshots and videos I have seen, it looks pretty awesome. I especially like the art style. It was the main thing that caught my eye. The "RPG elements" appear quite shallow, but even a limited RPG dimension in a FPS is a plus.
Tomorrow is wiser, as usual.
Its an extremely shallow game and it feels more repetitive than Call of Duty to me.
Very boring to me. Enjoyable with friends, however, just because coop aspect with loot is naturally fun.

Dungeons: Advertised as a spiritual successor to the dungeon keeper games, but it's nothing like them beyond the art style. It's basically a tycoon game set in a dungeon, you make a dungeon to attract in heros, make them happy with treasure, monsters, equipment, spells and traps, and eventually kill them to harvest their soul energy. It's a meh game.
EVE Online: Without a doubt one of the best games I've played. I definitely like how you don't need to be online to be training shit or leveling up skills, it makes it so you can do away with the "I must be logged on as much as possible to stay competitive" feel of other MMO games. You can just set up a training queue, and let it go for a week or so. You'll still need to grind for money of course, but PvP in this game is second to none.
Other than those two, I still drift between SC2 and a modded version of Diablo I, doesn't really need much of an explaination lol.

Late entries for me are:
Bioshock 2 - not too new but it's got a nice feeling and pretty good graphics.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - just trying the single-player, so far not bad at all, but i feel Assassin's Creed II was a bit better.
