I hope they wait for the write writer/director/producer and use a billion dollar budget. I think Blizzard has held out on making a movie because it will taint our beloved Diablo.

Well now that Maxpayne has been released, it will be a matter of time before more games are converted into movies...

For 2 I think some ideas have been GREAT, however I see things a little different.

Paladin - Christopher Judge (from Stargate SG1)
Cain - Sean Connery (I won't mess with perfection)
Druid - Alan Tudyk (from Firefly)
Necro - Peter Horton (from Brimstone)
Assasin - Angelina Jolie (this is where I think she belongs)
Barb - Joe Rose (the big cafeteria worker friend of the Janitor from Scrubs)

Althouth I hink we should start with 1. Though I don't want to derail the thread.
Warrior - The Rock
Sorceror - Tony Amendola (from Stargate SG1)
Rogue - Virginia Hey (from Farscape)

I'd get
"The Rock" to play as Barbarian

heh they could get marylin manson to play as baal.

They do looks really similar anyways so hes perfect

Have to agree his look is dead on either Manson or if he won't get Gene Simmons because hes comfortable in lots of makeup haha

Bas Rutten (or some huge wrestler not sure who i dont watch it) for the Barb
Bill Roper for the voice of Diablo, seeing as how he did the game voice for Diablo
Angelina Jolie for the Amazon

You gotta rememeber most of the Zakarum characters are black- probabaly have like, wesley snipes play a character. And the assasin would have to be kathryn zeta jones. as far as a pally and necro, i'd go with the guy who played Snape in harry potter for a necro and viggo mortensen as a paladin, and for old tiems sake id cast orlando bloom, but probabaly as the inn keeper in diablo 1
griswold would for sure have to be the guy who played hagrid or someone of equal scruffiness. I think this movie would be HUGE if they covered the entire thing in three movies like they did with LotR. I'd absolutely LOVE to see this...like, imagine the general toen of the camera being like the blade movies- how dark they were. and casting some damn good actors in the movie. aaaaah some writers need to do this and writre a dfamn script and go to some really popular director and make this happen damnit

All those top stars in one movie would be sooo expensive. But I suppose its doable, it'd be kind of like Xmen.

$75 million dollars? That was the budget for Xmen.

Stephen Colbert NEEDS to be in the movie somewhere. It is required. Maybe he could be a Paladin XD

Anyway, I'd cast either Sean Connery or Ian McKellen as Deckard Cain. Samuel Jackson as a Paladin. Uuhh... that's really all I can think of, lol.

Director : Uwe boll, yes i said it. Only he can make a movie so bad that it will be funny.

Why bother making a video game movie, they only end up sucking. Might as well go as bad as you can to make it impossible for others to try to top you. They always deveiate from the main plot of the game and manage to make it terrible.

Sean Connery retired....he will no longer act for anything. /end

lol...I pray that if they make a diablo movie its good.....not like 95% of all game based movies which suck so hard its not fit.....I stilll remember seeing the SF movie...omg that was disgusting to watch
