Those look pretty cool. The 2.5D MM looks especially inviting. The deathmatch, however, doesn't. I've gotten pretty used to the new engines that the quake engine seems a bit off.

I love mugen, used to have a couple versions set up with an odd cast of characters. I'll have to download this package of it to see how it is.
I remember back when I was playing it, my main set up always had the Tick as the boss since whoever had made the character had him really overpowered. It was always fun to have weird battles like Final Fantasy 6's Edgar vs Goten from DBZ.
I read through its page and it looks like they haven't released the game yet. Looking through the youtube account though it does appear to still be an ongoing project since there were a couple recent videos uploaded. I was starting to fear it would be a half finished, never released project.

Me too, I see all this really good characters that I want in this game but I read on the site that not all characters will make it. Which saddens me. Literally shat myself at the possibilities of what they have as far as character selection goes.

Yeah, I've seen people with 100+ characters on mugen but there are normally severe balance issues with that. From what I understand, they're making all the characters themselves for this project, so including all of them would be a huge undertaking. I think they said something like 36 characters would be playable and a bunch more would support characters like on Marvel Vs. Capcom or similar games.
They are doing way too good to not release this. The problem is they promised a demo about 2 years back. It seems they keep chaging the art style though.
