Ok, so I know that I already made an AC2 thread (About 6 months back). But since the game is finally here, I figured why not make a new one! So this is a thread to talk about what you like or dislike about the game, to speculate, ya know all that jazz. So its basically a discussion threat for all of you Assassin's Creed fans out in this dark realm which we call the DiabloFans Fourms.
I have it all wrapped up for my little brother's Christmas present Hope it's really good. I might sneak in to his room when he's not home and play it here and there

Oh trust me, it's very... very... very good (and addicting). Truthfully, I think that the game is much better than Modern Warfare 2. If you get the chance to sneak a play, do it.

Coming from you, this must be the best game ever lol. I have like 30 bucks on it as I was reserving it little by little. It'l probably be on my Christmas list for someone to pick it up for me. Can you really fly around in it holyshit!

Ya its story rapes Modern Warfare 2's. The game play is fantastic. Maybe my opinion is a little biased though since I have been an huge fan since the 1st.
Actually that's what I'm wondering, is AC2 just as repetitive as AC1? Because AC1 wasn't such a good game because of that imo... I only really had fun in that game at the end where it's just fighting and no sneaking around crap.
No not at all, the mission structure completely changed (no more sitting on benches w00t!)
The idea of being an assassin and the sci-fi twist to the first one intrigued me, but I couldn't finish the game on account of the boring mission structure.
I couldn't put AC2 down. They fixed practically everything that sucked about the first one. At no point did I feel like I was getting a rehashed AC1 experience.
If that's not a testament to how good AC2 is, I don't know what is.
It's definitely worth picking up. The ending will make you crap your pants.
I don't know how deep you got into all of the extras, but I went ahead and completed the subject 16 video and collected all of the codex pages. If you read them all and paid attention to what was said and shown during the 20 mini puzzles, the ending really made sense.
If you didn't, though, I can totally see how it would feel like it came out of left field.
I felt like I was uncovering a conspiracy little by little through the game.
In an attempt to remain objective, I should probably mention that going into this game, I really wanted to like it. So maybe I tricked myself into giving it more credit than it deserves, but I feel like I would have liked it anyway.
It's not a perfect game, but it's certainly a decent story and left me waiting for another game.
I got it a few weeks ago and loved it from beginning to end. The story, the new gadgets, the mission structure, are all great.
The only problem I had was with the controls, sometimes he would jump off a wall randomly if you tapped the control stick slightly. The new economy system isn't anything special, but it's a nice addition.

Personally I loved the new controls. My only issue was that sometimes when you wanted him to jump, he would drop off the wall and hang. I lost some missions quite a few times because of that.
I was able to get this game on a 1 day sale at eb games new for 29$, so far im only into the beggining where ezio isnt even an assassin, but its awesome! controls are abit finicky, but graphis are a step up form the prior version and story so far seems great!
The controls SOMETIMES could screw you over, not a whole lot, you just had to get used to them. The missions were not repetitive what so ever, I never got bored during the game. I also stopped playing the first one within a couple hours because I didn't like it. They did an amazing job on this game, probably my favorite console game so far.
What I didn't like about AC2 is that's they made it easier than AC1... And I already found AC1 to be too easy.
(The next part doesn't really spoil any of the story, I only talk about how difficult the end of the game is.. If you consider that a spoiler, don't read it. Otherwise don't worry about it.)
[spoil]In the first game, the only part that was actually a bit challenging was the last part where you have fight alot of enemies at a time and you just only have this much health to make it with.. In the second game, there were alot less enemies at the end to fight, and you could easily sneak past most of them. Not to mention, the end boss was really fucking easy... What is this for a stupid trend where games keep getting easier? At least the first game was actually challenging at the end. Seriously, after blazing through most of the second game with lots of ease (especially thanks to the huge amounts of medicine you can carry with you) I was kinda looking forward to a challenge in the end, but it just never delivered [/spoil]
Otherwise, it was a good game. Mainly because I liked jumping around on the rooftops in Venice.
Oh yeah, and I really liked that every once in awhile a thief would come along and steal your money and then you had to hunt him down. That was pretty cool, I usually had like a whole battalion of guards running after me and/or the thief while I was chasing him.. pure chaos
They said at E3 2009 they specifically mad ethe game easier because Ezio is supposed to be an "elite assassin" So he was basically supposed to pwn everything.
