I was thinking of picking this up. Have any of you played it? Is it any good? How does it play? Like, do you only get to use your spells once before having to rest? Please explain, I need something to play lol.
I kinda liked the first one, but at the time I had some friends playing it too, so I don't know if I'd like this one solo. Hmm. The box makes it look good lol.
Like all other games, it can get long in the tooth. Depends on how much you like D&D games and if you enjoy the story.
At times it feels like grinding, but it's fun to play anyway.
Difference from NWN1 is here you command a whole party like in Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale.

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
I have it and the expansion sitting in my closet- my brother bought it for me some time ago but my old computer couldn't handle it. Is it worth playing?
I sort of prefer NWN 1, for some reason. I believe NWN 1 had a better story, and I don't like managing parties that much.
I agree with you..NVN 1 seemed to have the superior story. Personally I thought NWN 2 sucked ass in general, and this is coming from someone who loves DND and RPG's in general, tho that just my opinion
I didn't really like Icewind Dale. Too corny and boring for my taste, but that's just me.
How DARE YOU? lol

The story was much more original, yes. But I didn't like the gameplay.

That's because there are very few improvements story wise to be made. We've all seen that shiz before. but someone who hasn't played through all these games will like NWN2. That's about it.

Im a pretty big fan of NeverWinterNights, so i bought NWN II almost instantly, but i got to say.... NWN was better. Its graphics may not have been as good as NWN II's were but the gameplay was alot more fun.
But i hold alot of respect for both of the games for a few reasons. The main one being, that both games have a tendancy to spit in the face of your computer, no matter how good, and crash it.
I stopped getting mad at the games for doing this a long time ago hehe... Both NWN I and NWN II crashed my crazygood cpu, which confused me because i had played NWN I on an onlder and slower computer and it played perfectly. No lagg at all. No errors. No freezes and no crashes. So im still confused as to why it did that.
But over all both of the games are pretty fun. Just one better.

I am one of many...
Do not consider me insane or crazy, I am but a person who seeks a change in the life styles of life we must live.
Conformity has no curve.. but is a circle at the same time...
Do not judge me for attempting to change the way in which i live my life, while i slowly change the lives of those around me...
For when i am gone.. the world will have changed... if only slightly. But when i am gone.. others will take my place...
I am one of many...

Make sure you download all the patches. There are a lot of glitches in the game.

Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions
