Darknes settles down onto this cold dark earth
a crack of unnatural light appears in the sky
the hopes and dreams of humanity soon to be shattered
as beings of light fall down into the night
Millions and millions pour fourth,
like a tidal wave of light crashing down
it sends a shiver down my spine
as night unnaturally turns to day.
Many people stare in awe as these beings fall down upon us
a darkened whisper I hear toward my back
as a giant feind leaps up to attack
darkening our world once more.
Suddenly I turn my gaze,
there on the other side a darkness lingers
an evil that shakes my very core
an evil that I somehow feel connected to.
An understanding fills my being
as I watch these two forces converge at each other
the forces of mesmerizing light
charge at the evil in the night.
my gaze falls upon the people of humankind
realization has finally hit them
the carnage is to take place here
among there homes and wild eyed stares.
My mind turns back
millions of years into the past
the same scene replays over in my mind
but they are unable to kill human kind.
If only this time we were able to fight back.
