someone complained to me that the basics of science are too boring and should be optional. i then spent the next 30 mins explaining to her why is it that when we look at distant planets/stars we actually see them as a snapshot of the past. humility.

Stunning. Did they graduate from Bovine University?
Richard Dawkins reminds me of a preacher. Funny video. I wish I received such entertaining mail.

Does anyone else ever think they have enough friends already? I was at this uni gathering for post grad students tonight and I couldn't be bothered making friends with anyone because I like the ones I've already got. Alternatively, do I need help?

Can't have to many friends imo, or you can't meet too many either...who knows, maybe on Des 21ste 2012 you might run into one of them and they'll give you a lift to Mars where you'll be forced to repopulate the human race with a hot babe...you know, cause you were the only dude they've met in their entire life...

It's funny what some people consider "friends". Especially girls. They meet these people in college, party with them and hangout but are clearly not really friends. I mean...I guess they're friends, but not the kind of friend I thought a friend was supposed to be. In college I have "friends" I guess.
But at the end of the day, my real friends are back home that I've known since I was about 3 years old. I go back just about every weekend to see family and them. Those are my ride and die homies I'll have through thick and thin. It doesn't seem like too many people have those anymore. Of which I'm very fortunate.

I tend to make make friends from the whole friend-spectrum. During high school I had jock/nerdy-gamer/emo (well not really emo, more hipster/listen-to-screamo ect) friends, not because I wanted to but because I had a lot in common with all my variation of friends. I played a lot of sports, busy the whole year. I'm a gaming nerd, did good in academics in comparison to my peers and played a lot of games. And I'm into screamo music. Not just screamo, just any band with drums/guitar/bass/vox ect.
Now in university, I have friends I only hang out with during class. I have "gamer friends" with whom I LAN and whatnot. And also those I go out with. But for me, this doesn't necessaries mean we're not friends-friends. If I could I would do everything with all these friends of mine, but some just aren't into gaming/partying ect.
