I'm not too eloquent with words so I'll let the video do the talking. I highly suggest you watch all 30 minutes.... We have a chance to stop a cruel criminal, and the more people know, the better!
"Joseph Kony is the world’s worst war criminal. KONY 2012 is a 24-minute film that explains everything he’s done and how he can be stopped. This year."
Make him known, his warcrime against human being is disgusting. These kids are defenseless, and they do not know any better, and when they are taken at such a young age... they can easily be influence either by fear or corrupted ideas.
I saw a good one earlier today, but I can't find it D:
No one ever wants to do philanthropic type work unless it's easy. Linking a video is very easy. It makes you feel good without having to do anything about the problem. Everyone feels moved for a few hours, links the video, maybe buys a t-shirt, and pats themselves on the back for a job well done. It's a mindless exercise in ego boosting for largely selfish reasons.
Queue everyone calling me out for not wanting to help make the world a better place. I have volunteered at a soup kitchen for 10 years, what have you done lately?
The way that this is being marketed honestly feels like a scam. Totally wrong approach in my mind, even if it is getting them exposure. Also, a 30 min vid is terrible for viral information imo. Needs to be snappier or summarized...
Well, it's clearly working as a 30 minute video, no arguing with that since it got 10millionish views in like three days. But yeah, as I understand it Invisible Children takes a lot of money off the top from donations. The charities that give away the biggest portion of donations they get to their actual cause tend to get the least attention, because they're focusing on helping and not putting on a show.

Totally true. Well they probably got 10+mill from their sheer marketing more so eh?
I understand the people who claim that this is a scam. I dont like the fact that the video is about just one case of violence and does not cover other stories rom the region. Also the way they approach it... Making him famous, thats the one thing he really wants to be so what the fuck? Putting up his posters everywhere that would just empower the man seriously.
I totally sympathize with the poor children but crimes against humanity exist and its nothing new. At the moment, it is easier for me to sympathize with lets say the people in Gaza and the west bank. Also Syria, Egypt and Lybia. Its just closer to me, and feels more relevant.
What about Sudan, Eretria and Kongo?
If anything, the posters should have focused on Africa as a continent... Africa 2012 sounds better than "Kony 2012" seriously i really view this as a flawed concept.
Anyone else finding that people trying to post a different opinion are just being circle jerked? (Not on this forum though)
The ammount of hypocrits, fanboys and 12 year olds is just overwhelming. Going against something this viral cloaked under the humanitarian agenda is guaranteed to get you circle jerked.
Again, i have nothing against trying to help 3rd world countries but this campaign just seemed flawed to me from first sight actually.
