I come here daily to get my up to date news on Diablo, as well as some relevant forum reading. But, today marks a special occasion, and the date of my first post. My Book of Cain just arrived today. I ordered it from Amazon.co.uk, since it was not available yet in home in South Africa. Yes, it took a good while arriving, but I got it so cheap (less than half what I could now get it for from a local supplier, who has yet to receive the stock).
Anyway, My name is FatManza (Fatman is my usual alias, and the za, is for Z A, as in South Africa). This game has me so excited words cant express. But now with my new book, I have something to occupy myself with for a while longer.
The book looks spectacular, and I am really happy with it. Gonna look great sitting next to my Advanced Calculus test book. And, I think I am one of the first from South Africa to get it, since local retailers don't even know what it is.

RSA FTW!!! At last another South African!! Looking forward to seeing you post here!! I lurked here for a couple of years before actually joining...never been this excited for a game ever! Can't wait! Advance Calculus you say? I'm busy with my 3de year of Civil Engineering at Stellenbosch! So I know how you might feel about taking a week or two off in the middle of the semester to play D3! It's gonna be brutal to have to decide...
Unfortunately I don't plan on buying The Book Of Cane...just the D3 Collectors Edition. How far have you read it already?
Hey cool, more saffas. Well, this is my last year of being a student. I am finishing a PhD - after 9 gruelling years (I have been paid for the last 5 at least). Really don't want a game to mess that up :(.
Anyway, the book is awesome, I have read about 1/5 of it. It really fills the lore gap. Especially since I was a kid when I first played Diablo 1, when the fact that the rogue didn't wear shorts was more important than story. Also, when I played D2, and killed Andariel and Duriel, I was kinda like "meh, who are these guys, I wanna kill some prime evils". I mean, why fear azmodan, I killed one of his peers (andy) with a level 12 barb. The book goes into depth about the lesser evils, and makes them seem way more scary. The style in which it was written is also great.
Just a note, if you or a friend do want the book and you don't mind waiting, it is much cheaper on amazon than kalahari or some other site I found. Delivery from kalahari takes 2 weeks anyway.

I am very much enjoying it. Definitely worth it if you are at all a fan of lore. Pus, I believe it contains some hidden stuf which will be revealed in D3.
