So I pretty much just discovered Skrillex about two weeks ago... (feel free to hate) I found him in the side column after watching the "pumped up kicks" remix with the dude dancing and whatnot. I'm asking you guys: Who should I be checking out? I want more!
All I know is skrillex, sad to say. If you like other artists producing edm (electronic dance music), check out Steve aoki, mat zo, arty, afrojack, markus Schulz, armin van buuren. For more check out Djmag.com and view the top 100.

I'd also suggest checking out the vitaldnb, vitalelectro, and vitaldubstep channels on youtube. You'll find a lot of underground rising artists there.
As for a couple tracks to get you started, here are some of my favorites. Suggest selecting the highest quality on each video as the video quality also affects audio quality.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
so i listened to the samples you have put up, what is the large draw to dubstep? it seems like all my younger co-workers listen to it (17-20ish)
Well to be honest, a lot of people that listen to dubstep nowadays only like listening to it because it's the IN thing right now. I like to call it the Apple Product Effect.
As for me, the draw to dubstep, and to a greater degree all EDM (Electronic Dance Music), is the fact it leaves room for your imagination to improvise upon the song. You can find songs that perfectly fit your mood and tailor it to mean what you want it to mean. Tracks that are lyrically driven don't really allow for this IMO as the lyrics are set in stone.
sorry for 'reviving a dead topic' but, I really want to thank everyone who respoded for giving me so much thought for my food.. also. anyone else... throw your two cents in... im sure at least one more person other than myself will benefit from your(the viewer)'s suggestions.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence

Was never big on electronica, but this stuff just sounds slow and jumbled- no emotion, just weird SFX, blips, beeps, distortion, etc.
I have no problem with other people appreciating it, just not my thing.
