Good to see a republican with a sense of humor. Coincidentally, he's also the only republican who has completely disavowed the creationist nut-jobs in the far-right base. Of course, that's probably why his campeign has failed. No place for a fiscal conservative / social progressive anymore on the Right.

I have no outstanding debts, a job that pays me more than I care to spend each year, an incredible pension that I wouldn't even need to survive well into my golden years, and no matter who wins the election next year i'll still have all these things. Of course that doesn't put me in the top percentage of income, wealth, or anything else, but I definitly don't have a vested self-interest in making things better for everyone else (I simply advocate for it because i'm an educated liberal humanist).
Good old Tyler Durden has a wonderful talent for finding stuff like this. Nothing to worry about kids, everything is just fine OH yeah, and remember deficits don't matter because uncle Greenspan said so ROLMAO!
The Scariest Chart Ever?
There are many charts out there all of which are to some extent worth of the adjective "scary" although today's Bloomberg chart of the day may just take the prize, if only for a few days until the European hopium daze passes and reality manifests itself in the form of line and bar charts. The chart below is perfectly simple and perfectly self-explanatory...
More taxes would basically lower the middle class the rest of the way and we'd just be left with the lower class and the upper class.
Its already that way.
I know a lazy ass (and i mean literally lazy) "poor" chick that gets everything fucking paid for her. Food Stamps, Welfare, Rent Assistance, Daycare assistance, Medical Assistance... all because shes too lazy for a real job and slutty enough to get knocked up by 3 different men that none of which she was in a relationship with.
Here income is drastically less than mine... but her standard of living is better... explain that?

Not necessarily. US. has still quite low levels of taxation. The US. taxes about a fifth less than the OECD average (when all taxes are combined in average, only way of comparing different countries).
Of course, increasing taxes drastically (more than a couple percentage points) means that tax-paid services would need to increase as well. And that is why the idea is rather alien in the USA.
Don... the United States emancipated itself from England due to a few extremely small taxes. I believe the tax back then was something like 3%? You may argue that it was due to taxation without representation... but the fact of the matter is... even within a democracy you aren't actually represented. The majority of Americans do not believe in taxes (except the poor that just want to rob the wealthy).

I am better paid than most Americans and I do believe in taxes. The government doesn't exist without taxes. So unless you like the idea of pure anarchy, I think you believe in them, somewhat, too.

The middle class was created by taxation and the infrastructure boom of the mid-20th century. In-fact i'd argue you've got it precisely backwards. Of course, I don't know what would happen if we lived in the Libertarian Society that I keep hearing so much about, but I don't think we do.

I'm not sure how it is where you live, although I'm fairly sure it's the same. You can't be on welfare indefinitely. You have a certain amount of time in your lifespan, 5 years. After that you won't get it any longer. Foodstamps however are different I think.

Welfare yes... the rest of the crap I think is indefinite.
