I've actually been planning for the revolution for a while. This country is a corrupted by corporatism and I won't be caught off guard when the grocery stores are bare. If your a republican, you are a tool for the top 10%. Which, in my opinion, is really pathetic.
Conservative Republican reporting in! Oh, also very PRO COP! Yes, it is a disgrace to see the incidents in which police abuse their power or are otherwise granted leeway when they deserve swift justice. Justice is supposed to be blind but unfortunately no system is without flaws. There will always be corruption in any large group. The key is keeping the corruption to a minimum. Internal affairs works like a charm at my police department. We have had several police officers arrested and imprisoned for abusing their powers and many more demoted and/or reprimanded for lesser violations. I speculate IA works well in many departments around the country, preventing some corruption/abuse incidents from ever occurring and eliminating a decent amount of corrupt cops before they can cause more problems.

I make sure people go to jail. The only thing more fun is Diablo 3.
I agree police are necessary to protect us on a day to day basis, but we have let so many corrupt jack booted power tripping people onto the police force it's getting out of hand. Now we have the government trying to play Nanny State and passing all these stupid laws that the police have to enforce like not eating a doughnut on a park bench. You know who's okay with enforcing that law? The power hungry cops. The good cops probably feel pretty bad about having to do that. I know of at least a couple people who quit the local police force because it was full of steroid using meat heads.
I'm a big supporter of IA, they do a needed job. Unfortunately I think in a lot of cases it's too late for them to do anything before someone is beaten or killed.

Yeah? and our democrat president is doing such a good job with our country...

You think I'm a dem? Nope, they're pussies. How about you reply back when you truly understand the federal reserve and the fractional reserve banking system.

how about you do your research and ask me a better question tomorrow:
The problem with the IA is that they are not working the beat, they are not out on the streets watching the cops. They cannot be everywhere all the time. And when they do find a cop, it's usually a reprimand or something. A reprimand? That's what I get when I say something stupid to a customer, not what a cop should get when they taz a mentally retarded man-child!
As for republicans, I have a funny story. My father is a hard right republican, but he is registered Independent. That way, he can vote Republican all he wants but if they do something wrong, he can step back and say "Don't look at me, I'm independent!" /off topic

The problem has been going on far longer then this president, or the last one for that matter, has been in office. But I do commend the attempt to jab at Obama. Seems people do that whenever they can. *Shrug*

I absolutely don't agree with everything our president does, but I find it hilarious when someone blames all of our countries problems on him. That mindset is simplistic. Can't say I'm surprised tho.
your dads a smart guy. i think im more republican. although my parents vote democrats. we didnt vote in the UK because no time. and a vote in china means nothing really.

Dude... you are a tool. You are the exact reason I believe that there should be a manditory test in order to vote.
If you stupid communists would actually stop and think for a minute you would understand that corporations are actually good for everyone. They produce consumer goods at a cheaper rate due to wait... what... oh yeah.. CAPITALISM. They create jobs which happen to reward those that have better value to society, therefore creating incentive and ambition to succeed. When profitable they rewards those that are smart enough to actually invest instead of squander their money (owning shares in a company)...
Best of all... they allow the power to remain outside of the hands of the public sector. I'm sorry but social redistribution has nothing to do with equality rather than greed / envy / entitlement. Because your neighbor went to college... became a doctor... and now has a nice car you think you deserve one too.
Now lastly... I am not a republican... I am a CAPITALIST.

It is a simplistic mindset, but it's also the prevalent mindset. The current president always gets the blame, regardless of whether or not they are the one responsible.

We have a +rep button, but this is the kind of thing I wish we had a -rep button for.
You realize, you sound like a fascist when you start talking like this. Not a capitalist, but a fascist. Power to the companies and the state and all that.

I could argue all those points. I could talk about gov subsidies. I could talk about the failure of the trickle down theory. But I'm not going to waste my breath on a person who defends people who take advantage of their own pawns. When the country falls under fire, I'll think of you and smile because I knew I had a mind of my own. Thanks for making me thankful of my free will.
The first rule of Capitalism (and economics and general): You need to spend money to make money.
When that doctor buys that nice car, he himself is creating jobs. He's allowing car companies to keep their workers employed by keeping up that demand.
When people don't spend money, people can't make money. When people hoard money, that brings the economy to its knees because none of that money is being distributed (insert bribery joke here).
When more people have more money as opposed to a few people having way more money than anyone else, there is more incentive to create and sell goods because people are able to buy it and that creates jobs; demand. As long as people want something, there will always be someone there to make it (given they are paid).
Giving wealth (in the form of tax breaks) to people who clearly don't need it is bad economics and a waste of money. Given the current distribution of wealth in the country, 400 people (in the US) have more wealth than half of the people in the entire US. Now, would it not make more sense to give tax breaks to people who could use the money (as opposed to sit on it) so they can buy goods and sustain a healthy market?
The way supply-side should work is that consumers get money and suppliers fulfill demand. Suppliers shouldn't get tax breaks. If more people can spend money, then more people can get money.

Who's more guilty the Republican who put us into a near 10 year war or a Democrat who has let our debt continue to devour us?
Frankly it doesn't seem like a bi-partisan system as much as it seems like a bi-partisan dictatorship. Lately no matter who wins, the citizens come out crushed beneath it all.
The banks are the ones filling their pockets here and leaving us to wither away.

That's another thing that pisses me off.
Edit: I wonder what would happen if we tried to place a bad police officer under citizens arrest...
If we tried to put a cop under arrest, they'd shoot us plain and simple. No matter what the circumstances were.
the cops here in atlanta metro are all pretty cool man. except duluth, those guys are dicks.
