Well now I get to do a movie review that's actually up to date, and since it is up to date I will refrain (unlike my previous reviews) to insert spoilers in here. Before I get started I really recommend reading the book and/or series before watching the movie, it helps understand the plot better and give more of an emotional impact.
I've read the Harry Potter series (including The Tales of Beedle the Bard), and I've enjoyed it. It's not the best of the book series out there, but it is decent and entertaining to read once in a while.
To start it off, the movie was good; there was humor, drama, intensity, story, and sadness. Even though it is only half the story of book 7, it does an excellent job of dividing the series, like Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy did.
Unlike the Half Blood Prince (based off on book 6) which was rushed and some minor/major plot devices were cut out (some of Tom Riddle flashbacks, movie focusing on relationship between Ron/Hermione) the Deathly Hallows Part 1 kept true to the story with only some minor flaws.
The only real gripe I have with the movie is how the ending felt sorta rushed, the scene that was meant to sadden (not going to spoil) did bring sadness and grief and I almost teared up but it was sorta cut off and it came to a fast climax whereas in the book it took around 1/2 an entire chapter. I guess this is made up at the actual ending, which in my opinion ends in the prefect spot to divide the story.
So in conclusion, a good movie; I recommend reading the book/series before the movie but if you're not that type of person (shame on you) then go see it for viewing's sake.
Awesome, and thank you for not spoiling! I read the books, and I actually think number six was the best of them, even considering what they left out, but since they got to split this one up, I think it should be the best.

Also read Wintendo, as DINGBANG is attempting to play through 764 SNES games in a back catalog.
Yea the ending kinda came up. Kinda sad I knew it was the end there even though I never read the books or anything. I was about half out of the chair when the last scene started lol I overall liked the movie
