It's home to the best reviews of Star Wars and Star Trek I've ever seen. They're these incredibly insightful yet horribly funny reviews where this internet character Plinkett who is obsessed with said movies totally analyzes and tears down everything obviously wrong with these movies, while pointing out a ton of other things that maybe didn't even occur to you. I was reluctant to watch the one on Star Trek: First Contact just cause I love that movie, but still it's so fun to watch how he rips into these films. He has one for Avatar too which is freaking brilliant.
But just watch his review on The Phantom Menace and if you're not totally convinced it's one of the funniest movie reviews ever, then move on cause you don't know funny. More importantly than being funny though, he really is right about so many things. Watch it!
If that's all you have to say about it then I'm very disappointed in you. And it's not like it's the guy's real voice. He's playing the character of a middle aged supposedly dim witted obsessed fan.
Well tell him he shouldn't quit is dayjob (my opinion). Halfway through the "review" I had to shut him off because he was just talking nonsense. I think he was wrong on almost everything he said actually, as I enjoyed the Phantam Menace a lot. He says the creator of the story can't do what he wants? The guy is just mad because he's just some lore crazed maniac much like the Harry Potter junkies who read the books and are shocked to find out the movie versions are a bit different.
Wow, really? I'll have to just hope at least one other person finds his reviews entertaining or I'll just finally realize here that no one gets it at all and quit everything. And he's always admitting in the reviews that he's nitpicking. That's part of what's funny is his nitpicking. But the overall point he is making is the way the prequels were made in a more assembly line fashion where people are afraid to question Lucas creatively on anything as opposed to the old days where the original films got the benefit of adversity and people really caring about the production. Ah, well. Nothing more for YOU to see here, Donsro.
Maybe at least Equinox will appreciate his Star Trek review.... <_<
Eh, he was alright. Made things that didn't have to be complicated just that though. But he does have many valid points, especially the parts regarding main characters and a fluid storyline.

I enjoyed the Phantom Menace review a lot, especially the character analysis portion. His sense of humor is dead-on for the angle he is pursuing, that being that even an idiot can see and analize how much a pile of shit that movie was (in a satyrical manner).

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."
I enjoyed it. The last time I actually saw The Phantom Menace was when I was 12 or something. Looking back at it now, he definitely made some good points involving the storyline, the characters and the logic in their actions. I agree, but I still think it's a good movie. That was still funny as hell, though.
The only thing I don't agree with is his opinion on the over-the-top choreographed fight scenes, I think they're pretty badass.

"There's no doughnuts in Diablo. Oohhhh, I just threw it down. BlizzCon exclusive: no doughnuts. -Jay Wilson
His argument about the light sabre duels though is that it's supposed to have greater meaning to it. Like in original movies there is more of a motive behind them. In Episode 1, they just fight him because he's standing there in their way. Like, I agree that duels look really awesome in Episode 1 as well. There just is no emotional foundation to the duels. It's a quality the film lacks overall.
I hope you guys watch his Episode 2 review as well.
