Just when this thread starts to get a bit interesting...you are calling out for people to chill!
That is against the spirit of the spammers. Throw oil on the fire damnit!
Seriously though, the whole reason behind this thread is that looks are given way too much importance and I agree with Seniri.
If we changed "that woman would be hot if she lost a few pounds" into "I'd like that person more if she lost a few pounds" then we're probably on the right track.
There are two parts to love and attraction: the physical and the mental/platonic. The way in which you view each love as important will probably be the reason for this discussion.
Oh pretty Blizzard girl
under Bashiok in the photo
(you know who you are)
If you were Andariel (Nm)
I would run you for your treasure
and run you again, and again,
until the walls of destiny finally crack
under my sword you gasp
and drop a blessed SOJ
Or you could be my Deckard Cain
And as I tenderly withdraw from my cloak
the blue magic wand which I found (probably from Andariel)
you will identify it for me
To tell me what it does
and unleash its inner power
You subconsciously pick out everyone's imperfections when you look at them. It's human nature, so I don't know what you're talking about. Yes, I understand the media is always pressuring girls into being beautiful and I understand the outcome, but that is how it is, so get used to it. Sorry that you found my comment offensive

I didn't find what you said offensive. Rude, yes, and mirroring what media says, yes, and wrong, yes, but not offensive, too many people talk like that for me to blow up at one more. Not everybody subconsciously picks out imperfections, believe it or not there are some people who accept others exactly as they are. As for "get used to it" hell no, I will not accept that into my life, that is one thing that if I had the power to change I would.

It has nothing to do with "accepting", just because I see someone and see something I find unattractive doesn't mean I don't accept them. You're totally ignorant and I don't feel like getting into a argument about this on D3 forums...hahahhaha
People like Seniri give me hope that not all is lost for the human race...

I don't think there is anyone that simply accepts people. That person is not human. They are perhaps not as judging, but they do judge at some level.
And judging on a subconscious vs the conscious level makes all the difference.
You won't see me ignore someone or think less of what they say just because of their looks. Or anything they can't control, for that matter.
I can tell you, though, that if you do not view your shallowness as an issue, it's not going to go anywhere. If you can openly make a statement of judgment by looks, you are shallow, AND you don't have an issue with it, so in relation to you, people like me indeed accept everyone, and our judgment is insignificant.
Meh, being able to notice if a girl is attractive or not is not sexist. Nor is this thread. The Oposter thought she was attractive, wanted to know who she was and pointed it out, that's it.
And I'll agree with the statement you found to be "sexist", in my opinion she is not attractive, I can't help it and refuse to feel bad about it because it's the truth.

I don't think Equinox was pointing out anybody's taste on who or what features they label as attractive, but rather how important a person makes it to be.
And it all depends on how you look at it anyway- for me physical beauty is just that- nothing very substantial and certainly quite superficial. I can definitely appreciate it however.
But just how long will a person hold his/her attractive features? Through magic called time, there will ALWAYS be somebody more attractive at one point or another.
Contemplating a person by looks alone is lame. You are basically putting limits and chains to yourself and how you see the world when you could be free.
And I hope nobody quotes me- I don't feel like getting really serious in this childish excuse of a thread.

This. People can appreciate how good looking or ugly someone is, but I rarely see that without also a hint of judgment in it.
And this thread is all about how weird it is that there is a "good-looking" woman related to this event. If there was just that "ugly" woman there, nobody would create this thread. To me that points out the fact that the thread founder, at least, judges both women by looks first, and "ugly" women participating in such events are shrugged off, don't count. Sort of how ugly good chess players or ugly good video game players don't count.
Furthermore, the "I hope you're joking" comment is implying that no man should be interested in that "ugly" woman. Which, again, indicates judgment by looks, since we know nothing else about her.
Really, I have no issues with appreciation of looks (people who know me close would know I can't shut up about some people). Or even dis appreciation, go ahead. But I can appreciate on the whole spectrum and you won't see me condemn, shrug off, disregard, see lower someone just because they're ugly in my puny opinion. In that respect, my judgment is only subconscious and will not take over my mind.

i actually find the redhead girl very attractive. if you notice both those girl are polar opposites, maybe im just not in to light skinned curly haired chicks with glasses. maybe i like darker girls? does that make me sexist. yes she isnt the best and her job makes her hotter but thats my opinion.

Indeed, it is a person's own choice to what extent he relies on his prejudice. At least, that is how I see it.
