But I think the worst part about Bruno is that when you make fun of it people respond "you are just being homophobic." There is a difference between not liking gays and not liking horrible movies.
Exactly
Whoever says if someone doesn't like when penises, explicitly shown in more than one part in a movie, are homophobic, they are clearly ignorant. If a lot of vagina's were on the show (and in no way am I a homosexual) I wouldn't like it either, its just pathetic to accuse someone of that. This isn't porn, its supposed to be a movie.
Its irresponsible film making is what it is. I didn't laugh once.

"So you have come here for information? I have some for you..."
I have seen it recently and it still looks great. It did not look as great when I first saw it but that was at a very large screen at the time which was designed for Imax movies.
Remember that movie was made before we had CGI and many other features that ILM introduced with the ground breaking movie Star Wars for visual effects.
I also like the flow of the movie and how the movie goes to different scenes.

It's a type of humor. Not everything tickles everybodys funnybone. Some people like cruder humor than others. I personally don't mind Borat and Bruno, in fact both movies had my sides splitting with laughter at a few scenes. Sure, the movies are crude, maybe not filmed well, but to some people it's funny and enjoyable and they did after all make money.
What about movies like Escape from New York. That movie is TERRIBLE. Every time I watch it I need to eat some tums because it makes me physically ill - however it's one of my favorite movies. Then there are movies like Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail. That movie is garbage. Unless you like that kind of humor. I love it - a lot of my friends hate it and make fun of me for liking a movie that "crappy." Everybody has their own tastes.
Lines from And now for something completely different
[first lines] [forest] Announcer: In this picture, there are forty-seven people. None of them can be seen. In this film, we hope to show you how not to be seen. This is Mr. E.R. Bradshaw of Napier Court, Black Lion Road, London, SE14. He cannot be seen. Now I'm going to ask him to stand up. Mr. Bradshaw, will you stand up, please?
[Mr. Bradshaw stands up and is shot] Announcer: This demonstrates the value of not being seen.
[we see a bush in the middle of a field] Announcer: This is Mr. Nesbitt of Harlow New Town. Mr. Nesbitt, will you stand up, please?
[nothing happens] Announcer: Mr. Nesbitt has learned the first lesson of not being seen: not to stand up. However, he has chosen a very obvious piece of cover.

Fair enough. I'm not really arguing against the visuals of the movie. In its time it was definitely amazing. The transitioning of the scenes was definitely a turn off to me. I always found it interesting, like with music, two people can listen to the same melody in the song, one person notices the guitar, the other notices the drums.
Another movie I remember hating was "Because I said so" starring Keaton and Mandy Moore.

You look ****in' scary, man! Connor: Now Roc, are you sure that you're obee-kay-bee?
stoaster, I just wanted to say thank you. As soon as humanly possible, I am gathering up my friends and we are watching The Room. Watching craptastic movies is one of my favorite past times, and The Room looks epic.
A few of my all-time favs:
Chopping Mall
American Ninja 1-5 (1 and 2 are the best)
American Samurai
Gingerdead Man
Scarecrow
Scarecrow Slayer
Deathstalker
There are so many more, but I can't remember any more atm.

Another good one to watch and laugh at is Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki.
Here's a video of it so you can see the kind of movie it is, but don't watch too much unless you want to spoil just about the whole movie:[spoil][/spoil]
Worst zombie movie and one of the worst movies ever made.
I remember actually wanting to see this movie when it came out and was soooo extremely disappointed.

I fucking loved that movie as a kid. Oh, also the Digimon movie.
Monty Python is genius, some of the funniest scenes I've ever seen.
"Look you stupid bastard you've got no arms left!"
"Yes I have!"
"LOOK!"
"...It's just a flesh wound."

And Eragon.
Ugh.. that movie was a disgrace to the book. Wasn't the worst movie ever, but it was pretty bad.
Mr. Dressup was the best kids show ever
But the best show of all has got to be The Bugs Bunny and Tweety show, friggn epic as always. bloody timeless!
The sequel to Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. Just awful, awful.
Oh man I love that show, it's so racist lol, I have no idea how it got on TV in the first place.
All the bad episodes are no longer played but you can find them on youtube and such.
Bogus Journey was no Excellent Adventure, but it was still fun.

Indeed, I love that movie. Watching it with I actually gave a copy to one of my students last year, he was quite amazed as well.

Hah, yeah, I've seen the scene where the guy kicks the other dudes eye out, and the intestine choke part. I gotta get me that one too.
