Are you aware that there are other planets that can support human life? Who's to say nothing lives there? With our current space technology, we can't get to them yet - the human crew would die along the way of old age. However, just because a being is not of this Earth doesn't mean they wouldn't have formed their own religions. There is no proof other life forms exist, right? Just like there is no proof God exists. You can't disprove, or prove, either one.

My last several posts I havent made very many points I know that, I'm just laughing at your guys's views, like you are mine, the laughing is both directions.
I'm sorry but who's laughing at your views? This is a debate. To me some of your views are a little odd, but I've never sat here and laughed at you over them. The fact that you are laughing at me, and others, for the views we have, is insulting.
Serini, you said halarious in your post, sorry, I said laughing, I have laughed at a couple of ppl's posts. Mostly just yours and Equinox's.
Once again you prove you cannot read and understand somebody else's argument. I was laughing at your lack of logic and reasoning, because of your inability to form a sound rebuttal, not at your faith or beliefs.
@Serini, just because I misinterpretted what you meant in one place doesnt mean im not capable of seeing other ppls views, forming rebuttals so on so forth. Your getting on my nerves a little bit.
EDIT2: We have really strayed from the "religion" topic lol. Maybe we should stop fussing and just get back on topic.
Let's get back on topic with this thought.
Is it possible to prove/disprove God's existence? Thoughts?
@Serini, just because I misinterpretted what you meant in one place doesnt mean im not capable of seeing other ppls views, forming rebuttals so on so forth. Your getting on my nerves a little bit.
Don is saying pretty much what I am, with more words. It's not only that you misinterpret a few things here and there, but also that you ignore entire posts because you can't debate the comments in them. And when you do try and respond, you basically say "No that's not true" with no fact (or fiction) of why.
Well, we can't be on both existent and non-existent plains, so it's quite... boggling to say that you don't exist when you are clearly typing on a computer that does exist and your thoughts do exist, so you need to have a brain to process those thoughts.
I mean, it's either we exist or we don't. There is no in-between here, it's either all the grapes or none of them. To say that we don't exist and and the same time be doing something that requires our existence is, frankly, backwards.
Your fingers are hitting keys on a keyboard that is right there. You can see it, you can touch it, it has mass, it is there.

Touching yourself doesn't prove you exist, it proves you think you exist.
It doesn't necessarily do that. If you touch, let's say your peni- arm... yeah, your arm, then your brain knows it's there. Your brain knows it's there, your brain knows it exists. Light reflects off your arm, you can see your arm. You can move your other arm to touch your arm, you can feel it. Hell, you can even smell your arm. You could lick your arm too, and though you could try, it'd be awfully hard to hear your arm.
And here's another bonus: we exist because the sun exists. Fancy that...

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
Touching yourself doesn't prove you exist, it proves you think you exist.
God...I nearly choked on the cereals I was having this morning..
My mind is so filthy...
NONE OF YOU EXIST BITCHES!!! You are just a product of my imagination.
Let this be clear.
The truth has been revealed.
Anyway on a more serious note, God's existence is a boring topic.
A perhaps more interesting question if you people care to answer it.
If God exists, how would you want Him/Her to be?
In terms of qualities and virtues and maybe what He/She would do.
Of course this means that you would have to depart a bit from religious scriptures. I am not looking for references.
And supposing all the people in the world have become sensible instead of being extremists... Anyway most religious people are normal...
Extremists and fanatics form a very small group(I hope). Let's not generalise too much.
1.) The deity lets us know that they exist
2.) The deity interferes with conflicts on earth to induce harmony
3.) The deity doesn't give us rules.
4.) The deity gives us a perfect, nontarnishable earth
5.) If the deity makes us in his image, I expect us to look beautiful
There, done.

so what you want is an omnipotent being as an slave to satisfy us and let us be a bunch of beautiful savages that make whatever we want and not suffer any consecuence...
sorry, but I think we need difficulties to evolve spiritually
oh.. ok... if yoour plan to betray me is by confusing me you're not doing it right... and yeah, I read your dfans thread...you... you... oh, forget it
I like the catholic god, the way I understand it he actually is perfect... the only thing I don't like about him is that the rules are not that clear, yeah, you have the 10 commandments, but they are not very specific, besides, with all the dark history of catholic church, there are too many doubts about the interpretation of the scriptures and all that...
so, I would like the catholic god to come down for a few days or something and set the things straight... and well, if he really doesn't like some things I enjoy, at least I would have certainty about my sins...

If my arguement is that the sun exists because I can see it.
And your counter-arguement is the sun doesnt exist because you cant see it cause its night time.
Then...
My original arguement is still true, bc it is.
EDIT: Serini, you said halarious in your post, sorry, I said laughing, I have laughed at a couple of ppl's posts. Mostly just yours and Equinox's.

It is not possible, that is the point of faith.

I'll start here tomorow. Thanks for getting this back on topic
Take it easy guys

really?? I'm pretty sure I exist...
I hope you don't come up with those utter skeptical theorys, I just hate those (just a subjective opinion)
Prove is in bold because I can prove that I exist.
*touches body*

well... it proves other things besides that...
on topic: but as he thinks he exists, he is something that, at least, thinks, hence he exists...

You are answering Az's answer! (if that makes any sense xD)
You need to answer my question.
