there are a few other creations on my photobucket profile if you'd like to see... yea some of em suck because I spent a very small amount of time on them...
edit: I would like to say it looks a little better via the link because it's a little bigger
Nice, put a pair of glasses frames around the pyramid bases, be hilarious.:cute:

Certainly abstract, the only thing I don't like is how the objects seem superimposed over the background, it just really stands out, ya know?
Some shading/blending would definitely help, especially around the pyramids. Blurring in particular would help make them feel more "in the picture", instead of standing out. Not sure how it works with photoshop though, I only ever use graphite (pencils) for my art.
Aside from that, I kinda like it. Really different from the usual stuff we see around here.

thanks... yea zhar "pencil drawings" if you will are my first love, and I only use photoshop right now because I just haven't gone and picked up any "equipment" lol
and I agree there isn't much depth to the picture, which causes the foreground to sort of stand out a bit. blending or blurring or whatever might work, or adding something into the backround to add perspective might help too (like a mouth or something)...
and yea... abstract... rofl the mind process I go through when I make these is similar to a 1st grader drawing random shit on a piece of paper
Haha, know exactly what you mean mate.
Been borrowing a friends supplies for like a month now, really need to spend some money to actually get some quality shit.
Got a decent work in progress right now though, the roots are looking fucking sick.
But nuff' about me ^^.
Another thing that stood out for me is the angle at which the light is reflecting. It hits the prism from the top(ish), then refracts through the front. I'm not sure how prisms work, but it might look a bit more put together if the light beams were hitting the prisms from that angle at the back, by that I mean the tip of the triangle.
And yeah, some stuff in the background would work wonders. A mouth might look pretty neat, hell you could do another prism thing, and have the mouth emitting echoes of light from the bottom of the pic.
May make it a tad cluttered, though...
Oh well, only experimentation will tell ^^.

yup it gets cluttered quick... and yea the prisms make absolutely no sense at all that's not how prisms are supposed to work..
i dunno if this is how it is for you but each time I do a piece of art I have a certain pool of patience and creativity to draw from, and the quality of the work depends on the size of the pool... and each time I do a new piece this pool grows bigger =)
I donmt understand what its supposed to be? I see what looks like two eyes on the base of different pyramids reflecting different lights, is it just that? Like an abstract representation of sight or the difference between sights?

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
i don't mean to sound cliche but it's supposed to be whatever you want it to be. isn't that the beauty of art? lol
nonetheless, i'm glad you asked that question. the way i interpret what this piece represents is "how light and darkness is perceived through people and turned into an array of colors or ideas"
you might see the light as the idea of god, and via perception we come up with all kinds of religions and whatnot to express the same basic thing... and we all have a dark side to us too!
Wow it's special that's for sure. I can tell that you like abstract art huh? What inspired you to do that?
I do like abstract art, but like I said before I like photography and sketches more... my inspirations for doing photoshop stuff like that are 2-fold. 1 - alex grey (google him) 2 - that's the only type of art that I can conceive of that I'm able to do in photoshop. lol.
basically I use a lot of amateur and primitive photoshop techniques (a lot of basic effects, manual drawing/tweaking/blurring/warping, as opposed to some of the more complicated and advanced techniques)
basically the two eyes are identical other than some difference clouds. i mainly used motion blur and radial blurs for the rainbow lookin thingies, though i did have to do some manual erasing, smudging and blurring
Remember: there is no substitute for safety. A metal backstop is a bad idea. The guy in the video is very very lucky that the ricochet did miss him and only hit his hearing protection. A few millimeters over and he would have been pushing up daisies.

It looks good ^^
Its not something i would do using photoshop, so its kinda unique.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
