I currently have a Blackberry 8700r. It's been my baby for a couple years now I guess. I come up for a renewal offer with my cell carrier in May and I wondered which phone you all think I should get.
Yeah in Canada, I am on Rogers. I like the iPhone's look, but is it as good as everyone seems to think it is? I like the tactile feel of the buttons on my 8700, so I know I am pressing something.
Lmao, for some reason I bursted out laughing after I read those names.
That's because they all sound retarded.

A friend of mine has an iPhone nad it's pretty wicked, but I'm quite content with my Sony-Ericsson w580i. Unless you want to pay $300 a month for your iPhone go for a slightly less gimicky phone with similar features.
Also - talk to Rogers to find out what phones they'll let you put on your plan.

Personally I have an Iphone and I am never going to have a different phone. I love this thing so many different/useful things you can add to it VIA the AppPrograms. that and I have NEVER had any problems with rogers, it really comes down to what carrier you prefer.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Still undecided, but maybe a visit to the store to take a couple for a test run will help. I will consider all you have said
Personally, I'd say just get a Ipod Touch and say to hell with the Iphone's huge monthly fee. Once you got the Ipod Touch, which is basically the same thing as the Iphone, just without the phone part (and the $500 a month tag that comes with it), get yourself a cheap phone.
That's what I'm doing.
Ipod touch.... Mmmmmm so good it's evil...
Edit: Almost forgot, you MAY want to hold off on the Ipod touch/Iphone, as Palm's new Pre is coming out, which is gonna give Apple a run for it's money... [size=1]I just hope this all doesn't end in the law
I'm trying to get away from a device for once thing, another device for something else etc. Right now I carry my blackberry, my ipod video, my DS and my wallet and gum and makeup all in a small purse. I'm kinda leaning towards the iPhone or Blackberry Storm because either with allow me phone, music and games. now they just need some chewable makeup that I can spend and I'm all set.
In that case, iPhone definitely. I'm not an Apple geek or someone trying to promote the phone, but I must say its an incredible product and it deserves all the success it has had. The MAIN reason I bought it was because I wanted to finally invest in a good ipod and I was needing a phone too, and this was the perfect combo so I didn't juggle so many little devices.
The iPhone has really good texting, and is a GREAT platform for games. A lot of third-party game developers have said the iPhone is more capable than the DS and the Sony PSP in terms of game functionality. The graphics have potential to be extremely competitive, and with the whole touch gameplay and accelerometer (tilting the phone, etc...) makes the possibilites for games really exciting.
You would no doubt get rid of the ipod and DS once you get the iPhone, not to mention its phone capabilites are great. It has the best contact list ever (you can zip through the list as fast as you want, especially for someone like me who likes to scroll through it and find the person's name rather than type it). It's pretty thin, the screen is big and i've dropped it a few times even and it's still working.
A fellow Canadian, unfortunately for cell phones we are both in the hole. Your only choices is Rogers/Fido (rogers owns Fido) for the iPhone. I would suggest looking at Fido's new plans. Unless you want to blow $30 a month on data, you can get a fairly cheap deal from Fido. I got unlimited texting, 300 daytime minutes, weekends and after 5pm free and voicemail for around 50 bucks a month. Considering they also charge by the second, I rarely go over my bill.

Good luck
I have a pretty good plan with my blackberyr atm which I believe can be carried over to the iPhone. I get 500mb of data, 10,000 sent text messages, my5 and 250 weekday minutes for $45/month. I've never gone over the limits either.
A friend of mine has the Storm and he swears by it. Also, a lot of my friends are on the Blackberry messenger service too, so it's still a toss up. The iPhone is prettier tho, and I like that.

Ideas? And give me reasons why please
You can get a refurb for pretty cheap. I have a refurb blackberry curve and it's worked perfectly for a year so far.
CyberPunk RP Nexus
What carrier do you have anyway? I wouldn't know much about anything other than AT&T though. I've had them since I got my first cell.
