Winter is still lingering behind the horizon here in Lebanon..there hasn't been any cold days yet, which is rather odd, since it's mid December. I expect a really heavy winter in around 2 or 3 weeks, a month tops.
we have a huge snowstorm today. It started at 5 AM and is predicted to last till 4 PM. It's basically a white out right now and has been like that for a few hours now. Obviously we have a snow day and we are gonna get about a foot of snow out side, maybe more.

Nah, you're not alone. I live in the western part of lower Michigan, so I get to experience the joys of lake-effect snow every winter, along with the fun that comes with living in a city that hates to part with their precious tax money.
The roads here are terrible because the city is scaling back on the use of salt and sand trucks this year (yay, saving money). They're refusing to do work on many of the side streets, so people are having a really hard time getting to school or work because of it.
Hell, my boyfriend recently got into a car accident on his way home from work about two weeks ago because he has to travel down a street that the city refused to work on. According to the people that towed the car, there was another accident on that same corner just a few hours later; and yet, nothing was done to take care of the problem.

Yeah For Lake Effect!! We here in Buffalo know all about that
I wish I could say we have had a lot of snow here, but we have had maybe 2" total so far. After it snows it warms up and rains, grrrrrrrr. We are supposedly going to get some white stuff tomorrow night. *crosses fingers*

in in souther cali. i couldnt get home last night. big big snow storm and tons of parts in cali that never see snow are seeing inches of snow. i finally got home today. we had a solid 1' of snow and we never have snow in these parts
I know right!! I'm in Orange, and it was getting friggin cold a couple days ago while it was still raining. I'm sure it was below 40 a few nights ago. Yesterday I got up, look out the window, and there were clear skies. So clear that I could see snow covering the entire mountain range to the east.
And then I get up today and the snow is all gone, and its a nice 50 degrees out. But I'm from Phoenix, Arizona, so snow is kind of evil to me. Me likey 125 degree weather.:thumbsup:

That's exactly what we've got. All the freezing rain and stuff is all ice now, though. Snow this weekend
Here in sweden we almost dont have any snow at all, we are getting a green christmas, secound year in row now. It is just getting warmer and warmer for every winter. Now we have around +8 celsius there i live in sweden, Gotland.
Well for me, it's the exact opposite. While you're tanning on a beach, I'm trapped in an icecube saying "Global Warming, my ass." Oregon in general is a very rainy state, and each Christmas usually ends up with nice thunder storm. But I guess since the temperature dropped, it just made the rain turn into snow...
You guys are lucky, you actual get snow at all. In Brisbane right now its like 40 degrees C and you get sunburned if your in the sun for like 5 minutes. Yea and we don't get snow in winter either, it just gets cold
PA weather sucks. It's like taking a group of first graders and asking them what the best color is. They just can't decide.
It gets to about 36 degrees F, rains, the rain freezes in a nice sheen, and then it drops the next day to around 12 degrees F. Weathermen (and weatherladies/weathertransvestites/weatherundecideds, don't want to be sexist in this day and age) predicted around 6 inches snow total this weekend, we got none but it was freezing as bloody hell here. And last Tuesday it was in the high 50's. I'm pretty sure this is the result of all those toxic chemicals that floated over from Ohio decades past...
Half of Vegas got snow, my side of course (fricken Murphy) LOL!, but the kid loved it so I was a sport about it. Oddly the strip was the dividing line between the east side getting snow and the west side not getting it. A week earlier the role was reversed.
Damm you british people and hogging the gulf stream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It turns towards you guys and completely away form where I live :'(

But the damn snow here is turning into a nightmare. It rained here over night and then it froze over the snow, making a layer of ice.
