Who here likes techno? I know I'm starting to get more into it. Dj Tiesto and Benny Benasi are pretty amazing and of course Daft Punk. What are some of your guys's favs? Im trying to find some more. Prodigy is good too but they're a bit strange.
I'm not wild about actual techno, but i like some ambient, and one darkwave band/group/whatever they are, called Velvet Acid Christ. The Ambient stuff i like is Tribes of Neurot (a side project by all the members of the atmospheric metal band Neurosis) and Akira Yamaoka (Silent hill soundtracks)
I also like most of the remixes Fear Factory does of their own stuff, which is sometimes techno, but sometimes not. (if interested, their best cd is called "Remanufacture" and there's a short but good one called "Fear is the Mindkiller") However i'd only recomend those if you like Fear Factory's regular stuff

I guess I like its more laid back version referred to sometimes as electronica. But that fast paced techno stuff I really don't care for. And to be honest, I thought that music died back in the 90's.
I listen to it every so often, or at least one of the eleventy-seven gamillion sub-genres, anyway.
I have a couple-few songs by Combichrist (God Wrapped in Plastic, This Shit Will Fuck You Up, This is My RIfle) on my iPod. I think they're labeled aggrotech, which is a subset of Industrial, I think?
I also managed to track down the full track of the electro (Hip Hop Be Bop) that Shaun and Ed were jammin' to in that one scene in Shaun of the Dead.
Not really Techno, but I like trance. Pounding sound give me headace...I like vocal more, lol I don't actually listen to any one band. I'm all into variety of music except country and hard rock. I like to change what kind of music I listen to once in a while.

I think it started when my big brother used to listen that all kind of crappy euro pop/dance at the 90's. E-Type, Scooter etc. I kinda liked those back then and then I moved on to some other kind of music as did my brother.
Techno, Trance, Vocal Trance were probably the first ones.
Listened some Ministry of Sound sessions, Paul van dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Dj Tiesto, Armin van Buuren etc.
Then I moved on to some harder Hard Trance, Hard Tech Dance, Freeform etc. And after a while of that I came back to chilling with some house, vocal trance etc.
Then moved on to psychedelic and goa which I still listen the most.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
