Some stuff I've done. Sony vegas pro 8.0 for the video, gimp for the pictures. Not the best, still practicing. I like doing videos more than graphics. I lost my other videos I did,I will make some more amvs and post them in this spot later maybe?
Out of all of them, I think the first one has the most potential. Maybe you can soften up the edges of your render a bit and tone down parts of the background; it seems a little too "busy" without really having anything there, you know?
The fourth one, with the angel with black wings, isn't bad either. Again, I'd just work on the background a bit and work up the render so you can't see the background overlapping it.
Also, you may want to work on your text a bit. Text can be pretty tricky to use effectively, and though I don't know the limitations of your program (I use Photoshop, so I have no clue about The GIMP), you may just want to try messing around with options to see what works.
I can't really comment on your AMV, since I know nothing about them. What was the song you used for it? It sounds familiar, and it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just don't remember at the moment.
I'm not trying to be critical, so don't feel like I'm trying to put you down or anything. I'm just trying to offer some suggestions that might help you out; I'm no expert, so you don't have to listen to me.
Yeah. It seems to me those are all either rendered images he used in his compositions or images he cut out himself. He's a composition artist right now, which is not something to be ashamed of or anything - most people who end up drawing / painting in PS and such start out that way. I just dont think any of those characters are original drawings.
Anyways, nice stuff. Try working on some original characters - even if you think they are bad. You wont get better without practice right?
Thanks guys,I forgot to mention that they where renders. I don't free hand draw very well.... (For having 2 accounts combination got banned (sigh)),anyways...I think I'll make a sig out of combat arms character or something.

You draw very well actually.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Oh and, out of all the Death Note characters, I like Light the best. I like his style with all the black shadows.

Rob Zombie - Scum of the Earth
I enjoyed the AMV the most.
Nice taste in anime though.
Bleach, Hellsing, Elfen Lied, Death Note all some of my favorites.
